Beautiful Family Home at Pine Mtn. Lake - Deck,A/C, Wifi nearYosemite

This home is great for a family. We stayed in July which was hot so we loved the use of the lake that is only 2-3 minutes away from the house. We also loved the large open kitchen off of the spacious family room. With that being said, the kitchen cabinets were a bit dirty and could use a good cleaning. The kitchen could also use a new set of pots and pans. There were very few and they were old and the surfaces were flaking off. There was also only one extra roll of paper towel and not enough toilet paper to last our stay. The refrigerator temp was also off. It didn’t feel cold when we arrived and then proceeded to get too cold and freeze all of the groceries we brought. All of our fresh salads and fruit were ruined due to freezing. Despite these needed improvements, we had a great time.

Everything was great except the guest room mattress was too hard to sleep on, they had to sleep on the sofa

This is a great little house located in the hills surrounding Pine Mountain Lake. The house has a very large kitchen that could support an entire family cooking together. The deck offers great views in the mornings and evenings. I appreciated how stocked and clean the house was. This served as a base for trips into Yosemite Valley. For that it was perfect. There were plenty of local options for food and groceries. I was also happy to see that there was air conditioning as the weather was pretty warm outside. A couple of minor gripes but nothing that would prevent me from staying here again. -Mattresses were uncomfortable for my taste. In one room it appears to be a futon mattress on a bed frame. -Wifi connection was good using 2.4 gHz but the internet was extremely slow. Almost unusable. -The driveway is very steep! Something that should be disclosed in case there are older people staying in the home. It could be a challenge to park with a longer vehicle. This seems to be the norm for the area.

There’s a very steep (about 35 degree angle) driveway and then a steep 19 step staircase to get into the house. The barbeques- the propane tank was almost empty, have to go fill up in the middle of preparing food.

All the rooms were very large! The couch in the living room was comfortable and big enough for all 5 of us to watch tv in the evenings. The location was great - 30 minutes from the Yosemite entrance, I didn’t find many properties closer than that. We weren’t there long enough to make use of the beaches or other perks of the community but it looked like the area had a lot to offer. The only downside was the mattress on the bottom bunk. It looked like it was a futon mattress. The edge of the mattress had wood in it so sitting on the edge of the bed was uncomfortable. And the middle of the mattress had a big divot/seam in it which made us think maybe it belonged on a futon? My daughter said that it was uncomfortable and she didn’t get good sleep. All the other beds were fine though.

My family and I stayed at this property for a few days in June with plans to visit Yosemite, and it was everything we hoped for. Open floor plan, all conveniences of home, quiet neighborhood, and less than an hour to the Yosemite Valley. There's a grocery market and restaurant within minutes too!

I should have known better, but I rented the property anyway. There’s a very steep (about 35 degree angle) driveway and then a steep 19 step staircase to get into the house. That’s after driving up a very steep hill. (The address of Upper Skyridge Drive should have been a giveaway, shame on me for not catching it.) I believe the driveway would be scary-dangerous in winter, so I’m happy to have been there during warm weather. Once inside, the interior is well appointed, except for a few personal preferences. I prefer two sheets on the bed, we got one sheet. I prefer to use a washcloth when bathing, none were provided. I prefer internet service that’s consistent, this one was very spotty. Internet service had to be reset each morning. I prefer cookware that is useable, compared to the scratched and damaged pots and pans that were provided. The washer-dryer worked well. The toaster and coffee maker worked, but the wrong size and type of filter is provided. The oven, stove, and dishwasher worked. I could go on but will stop there.

Is a really nice and relaxing place but there is not privacy they are checking on you with video camera all the time and there is not hot water at night time but we still having a good time

Me and my husband came up with our 2 kids for a family reunion. It was a nice clean place, good open concept layout. The place looks exactly like the pictures so expectations were right in line. Thanks for letting us stay. We would be happy to rent this place again in the future.

nice location!! so quiet and clean...

We loved staying at this home. It was very clean and it has a beautiful kitchen that was well stocked. The kids loved the bunk bed and playing in the expansive backyard. The beds were comfortable and the sofa bed was a nice bonus.

Would definitely stay again although beds were kinda uncomfortable and there wasn’t enough towels but did have a washer and dryer to wash them and the lake was out standing 10/10 would definitely be comming back again.

The house was very comfortable. It was nice to have air conditioning since it was very hot when we were there. We enjoyed the house very much. Paulina was quick to respond whenever we had a question. The Pine Mountain Lake community is beautiful but there are a lot of rules for guests vs. owners (i.e. we had a very small homemade boat with us and were not allowed to use it in the lake; guests are not allowed to park at the lake on weekends, etc.) This seemed very restrictive especially since guests are charged $40 to enter the community. Review the rules on the Pine Mountain Lake website before you book.

We stayed at the home for 5 nights and traveled in to Yosemite 3 of those days. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. Sitting on the deck in the morning was really nice. We also utilized the pool access on two occasions and the kids enjoyed it. Overall it was a great location and stay!

Great spot, easy access, clean and comfortable, the host was quick to respond. Would defiantly recommend it!

The pictures don’t give it justice. It was a very modern beautiful place. The views were amazing. Private little forest area in the back for children to explore. It was all just beautiful. We will definitely be coming back. Yosemite is close and they have convenient store near by. Also The owner is quick to answer any questions you have in regards to the place.

Since we rent the house the communication with Paulina was very friendly she guide me with all my questions and all my concerns I defiantly would go back to that house many times and I am planning to do so thank you very much.

We enjoyed staying at this home. The large open kitchen/living room was very nice for hanging out in after a day of winter hiking. Gated community was not at all a hassle. Internet worked fine, no problems. Download speed was a little slow, but they do provide an ethernet cable in the kitchen drawer to speed things up in case you need it. We did have a small issue in that cleaning was not completed until 2h after our scheduled check-in time, but it was not a major inconvenience for us and the host graciously volunteered to let us have the hours back, giving us a 3 hour delayed check out time. I think the only thing I wish were different is that they throw away the old bar soaps left behind by other guests. That, I didn't like. Otherwise good. We'd stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Great communication with the owner, but some of the things I had to ask about could have been avoided if there was check-in and check-out instructions. The property was clean but could use a deep cleaning to get the dust on the ceiling fans, cobwebs on patio furniture, etc. I also wish there was face towels and beach towels. I liked the location and we enjoyed the lake which is in the same community as the house.

Pictures simply do not do this home justice. The house is beautiful, but the breathtaking views from the wraparound porch were our favorite. The gated community was nice, and everyone we met within were lovely. We spent a day at the lake and particularly enjoyed the water taxi. Check-in was a breeze, instructions were clear, and our deposit was returned promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

We booked this home for a quick 2-night stay on the spur of the moment. It was priced nicely and looked aesthetically pleasing. However, as it turns out, many of the pictures may be from 2011, 8 years ago. It could be SO much better with a minimal amount of effort. The 1 concern and the 2 biggest disappointments are as follows: 1) the driveway is super steep! In the picture, it purposely is taken so you don't notice that and you can't use the garage. It was actually scary to park on for me; and 2) the barbeques- the propane one was completely trashed, rusted and unusable, and the charcoal grill screen was twisted, broken & mangled; we had to go to the store to get foil in order to make that work to even hold the charcoals-not what we wanted to do after an afternoon of kayaking. Other disappointments were the TV service advertised as Satellite/Cable did not have any local networks-we couldn't watch the nationalized televised All-Star baseball game we wanted; there was also no guide to the TV channels available (I know, just surf). I agree with some of the comments of the bare-bones of this place: no paper products like Kleenex, foil, baggies; no batteries just in case, etc. No bathmats, no washcloths, soaps were open and used (ewww, just get small, single guest use ones), and dish sponge gross and overused (most homes have new ones for each guest). Lights were burned out in every room; I only used the Master but took pix of the other rooms as I always do. Fan above Master bed didn't work with remote or by hand, 1 reading light out above the bed. Lastly, odd things were found throughout the place - hairbands on bedtables, candy wrappers and paper towels in the drawers, just felt like it hadn't been cleaned properly or that someone "just left". You may think I'm being petty, but I've stayed in many, many Homeaway homes and consider it my go-to reservation site for usually awesome rentals. I will not be returning to this home due to the myriad of concerns and disappointments I've mentioned. Thank you.

Clean and neat. Will be better if the kitchen stuff (cooking pans, plates, etc) can be upgraded. They are usable.

Our family (2 adults, 5 kids) just spent a few days here. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We spent one day in Yosemite and the drive in from Groveland is stunning. The house is well maintained and has lots of hang out space for family time. We highly recommend!!

The lake and surroundings are beautiful. The kitchen could be better equipped. It would have been nice to have extra towels to take to the lake. The home is very spacious and the deck is fantastic.

The house has nice and open area to be in so that was good. The kitchen was not very clean when we arrived (stove covered with grease, some dishes dirty) so we had to clean that. They also stated we had to take the trash out when we leave which is no big deal except we are charged $150 for cleaning so we kind of expect them to actually clean for that money. Kitchen was not stocked very well at all for doing actual cooking. Few pans and almost no spices. Master bed room and bath was nice but couldn't turn on the light or fan no matter what switch we tried so that needs to get fixed. The "entrance" fee listed is not correct. It is $30 to be able to get into the area.

This property was a great place to relax after a day of exploring Yosemite.

We only spent two nights, Fri - Sun, on a regular weekend. We have nothing to complain about. The house is well situated, with a nice view. It is clean and well maintained. All the essentials are there, no need to worry. I have seen better equipped kitchens, but this one is not bad, it has almost anything you need. The owner is very responsive, nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely home. Very beautiful and spacious. Restrooms are equipped with the necessary as well as the kitchen very big and had everything we needed. Most definitely coming back! Thank you for sharing such a lovely home with my family.
