Wonderful Studio in Cascais with Sea View

The view from the 14th floor terrace/balcony was great, though also a little scary. The mattresses were very comfy. The washing machine did a fine job on my clothes and dried on the balcony. The bathroom in general was fine. I liked sitting out on the balcony though it would be better if the pads on the iron chairs were actually round like the chair seat instead of square and much too big.

Everything’s in one room except for the bathroom and balcony. I mistook 2 bed studio to mean 2 bedroom studio but it was a big unit housing two single beds that were divided down the middle by the structure. Too bad for couples wanting to snuggle and for people like me who like to spread across the two beds. As I was leaving I found a bolt on the floor and saw that it came from the foot of the bed. I put it back where it should be holding a cross piece but it won’t hold long without a nut which I couldn’t find. The kitchen was a very small unit that housed a sink and a ceramic hob. There were 4 appliances, a microwave, a toaster that only accommodated thin slices of bread, a kettle which was dirty on the outside and a Nespresso coffee machine all from only one outlet that was behind the microwave. There is a very long unit that the TV sits on that has just one, possibly two, outlets but one was obscured by the unit itself. There are plenty of cubby holes underneath but each were filled with the empty boxes from the kitchen units. All the units in the room are very cheaply put together, having no character. The bed unit has cupboards each side, one looks like a wardrobe but has no length to it so I couldn’t hang dresses in there, and the shelves on both sides were filled with enough bedding and towels for the entire floor. I piled both sides into only one shelf each so that I could put my clothes on the shelves. There were only two adult hangers and one child size. I was told that if I needed anything I should get in touch with the person assigned to me so I messaged her requesting more hangers but she never answered during the four days I stayed there.
