Subpar in terms for the asked price

I can't speak of the booked room as I was upgraded to a bigger apartment. It is big and has a balcony. And a good view

The displayed pictures in the reservation is highly edited and doesn't represent the reality of the rooms. And some of the rooms are oriented differently. Also eventhough I spoke with booking support and the accommodation manager they refused to shorten my stay as I wanted to change to another place, they said either complete the whole stay or cancel with no refund. Some of the negative points I faced during my stay: 1. Paid parking even though each apartment has a designated parking space 2. Not cooperative and booking.com support didn't help with the resolution. 3. Smelly apartment and cleaning is subpar for the asked price alot of dust accumulation and kitchen ware. 4. Very slow in response and no immediate access to the staff. 5. Displayed pictures doesn't represent the reality in the place. The pictures are edited to be more attractive. 6. Beds are not comfortable. And mattress seems to be old

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. Upon arrival, I spent about 1.5 hours with my family looking for reception, which turned out to be in a completely different location about 10 km away. I called them multiple times with no answer, and only with the help of a neighbor did I find the address. The reception staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. They forced me to pay a €500 deposit without providing any clear instructions for check-out. Upon departure, they unfairly deducted €150 from my deposit, claiming I had not washed the breakfast dishes — something I was never informed about. I even offered to wash them immediately if given 30 minutes, but they refused and insisted my time was up, even though I checked out at 10:00 am. Their service was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I am requesting the return of the €150 and compensation for the 1.5 hours I wasted waiting to check in, with calls and messages ignored. I strongly advise others not to stay here.

The check in has to be done at the hotel which is 40 min away by bus. The listing on booking.com does not make this very clear. We arrived at the suites with children and luggage and there was no one. When we called the contact person we were told we had to go there. We realised that this was not possible without a car. The hotel chef NICOLE is an exceptional person. Understanding out situation she brought the keys and took me to the hotel to complete formalities. She even dropped me back.. Samuel at the reception was also very helpful.

The check in site is at the hotel which is far from the actual apartments. I's not practical for people without a car to check in at a distant location then again travel with luggage etc to the rooms. There was no washing machine though it was listed by booking.com. The sommercard can be used only from 4 pm on arrival day till 9 am on checkout day which makes is usable for only half the actual stay. I was asked for 500 euro deposit which was not mentioned on booking.com when i told them I was unprepared they agreed to not take it but I think booking.com needs to improve the clarity on their listings: check in process/ deposit/ amenities like washing machine

Nice summer appartment in Zell am See

Villagepark Suites by VAYA is a great choice for a comfortable and convenient stay in Zell am See. The apartments are spacious and well-equipped, with fresh towels provided every day. The property is also located in a great location, close to public transportation, restaurants, and shops. One of the best things about this appartment is the Sommercard, which is included in the price of your stay. This card gives you discounts on public transportation, lifts, and other attractions in the area. We were able to use the card to save money on our transportation costs and to visit some of the local attractions that we would not have been able to afford otherwise. The apartments also have a well-equipped kitchen, which is great for families or groups who want to cook their own meals. The kitchen has everything you need, including a stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave. There is also a dishwasher, which is very helpful. Another great thing about this apartment s that it has two bathrooms. This is very convenient for families with young children. The bathrooms are clean and well-stocked with towels, soap, and other toiletries. The view from the apartment is also amazing. You can see the mountains and the lake, which is a great way to start your day.

The reception is located in another part of the city, which can be inconvenient if you have any questions or need assistance (e.g. pick-up keys). The reception staff also seemed to be under-trained and incompetent. We had to wait for a long time to get help, and the staff was not very knowledgeable about the area or the property. However, the manager was very helpful and resolved all of our issues. Parking is an additional cost, which can be a nuisance for some guests. The train line is also close by, which can be noisy during the day. However, the train does not run during the night, so this is not an issue for those who are looking for a quiet stay.
