About this house rental
The home sits on 5.5 acres surrounded by preserved state land on a dead end, gravel private road, and is the perfect place to get away from it all! The home's location provides utter privacy, but is just 4 miles to Windham Mountain, 10 miles to Hunter Mountain. In the non-winter months, the house also popular with mountain bikers and hikers as the home is just up from the entrance to the Elm Ridge Trail system. Pedal or hike right from the driveway to 25+ miles of impeccably maintained trails, with new trails being developed just behind you. Sit on the front deck in the mornings with your cup of coffee and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the creek directly across from the house. Sit on the back deck at night and enjoy the seclusion under a canopy of evergreens and the crackling of the campfire.
The home is approx. 2,500 sq ft of family friendly living space over 3 levels. It is set up perfectly for a family of two, with 6 adults maximum, plus children. The upstairs level of the home has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the second with a twin bunk, single twin bed plus additional twin trundle, perfect for 4 kids. These two bedrooms share a full bath with tub. The main level of the home has an updated kitchen with bar stools, dining area with seating for 6+, living area with wood burning stove. This level also has a bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom with standup shower. The lower entrance level of the home sleeps 4 on two queen size sofa beds and has its’ own full bath with laundry area. There is a foosball table, checkers/chess table, games and toys for kids. There are 2 TV’s with DVD players, cable and DVR on main and lower level of the home.
Other amenities for your convenience include an outdoor grill, crockpot for easy meals while you're at the mountain, and WIFI. All linens are provided as well as toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner and bar soap, laundry detergent and dishwasher liquid, and firewood to make your stay easier and more enjoyable. Please note in the winter months, a fourwheel drive vehicle is a MUST as our road and driveway are gravel and hilly.

Brian's and Tracy's place was even better than what images on line show.
Tracy was very responsive and attentive of all our inquires.
We truly enjoyed staying at their home. Cozy, comfortable. Location is a plus as well.

Brian and Tracy have a wonderful house located just outside Wyndham, NY - approximately 7 minutes. If you want to feel like you are in the woods, the house will accommodate. If you want to be close to town, the house will also accommodate (though you can't walk to town).
They have the house stocked with everything you would need, including, most impressively, a well appointed kitchen with quality tools.
The beds were comfortable, the living room was cozy, and there was plenty of room to spread out from each other.
We went skiing so we were up there in snow and cold and the house was great. From the "mud room" type area where we would stash our boots and jackets, to the warmth of the heaters, the house was comfortable. As far as summer time, the house is a two minute bike ride from the Elm Ridge mountain biking system.
Finally, Brian was responsive to questions and pleasant to deal with.
