About this house rental
This historic Victorian home was built in 1870 and offers early American charm, antique furnishings and also has wide plank floors, modern kitchen and bathroom. This house is a two bedroom home, located on the main drag of Jim Thorpe and has parking for one car. (Many places do not have parking)
This home has a king size bed in the master bedroom and a queen size bed in the second bedroom. There is cast iron gas wood stove, basic cable TV, WIFI, new kitchen, and bathroom. There is a shaded private courtyard out back, a second level deck and also a mountainside gazebo. I also have a second listing called "Jim Thorpe Weekender"

The property is perfectly located just up from Jim Thorpe town centre. The property is delightful inside with many period features, but not lacking any modern necessities such as air conditioning and WiFi and a smart TV. The rooms are very nicely decorated and again, furniture is period appropriate. The whole house is very roomy and the size of the beds and furniture is appropriate for each room.We didn’t use the kitchen, but it looked to have everything necessary should you want to cook. Communications with the host were fantastic, lots of information both regarding check in and lots of suggestions for things to do on the area. There was no need to follow up on anything as everything was as expected and worked great.We felt very lucky to have the parking space as we heard folks talking about the costs of parking and the lack of convenient parking spaces. So that was definitely a bonus.Each room has an air conditioning unit and they all worked great.

Wow! This is a beautiful property. The furnishings, artwork, comfy beds, gorgeous grounds make staying in so wonderful. The location and access to Jim Thorpe makes it fun to go out. Steve was wonderful with communication and confirming that we were satisfied with our stay. He was clear with directions and parking.

The property was true to the listing name - a perfect weekend getaway in Jim Thorpe. The location was great - walkable to the downtown area but remote enough to be quiet and relaxing. The second level deck and gazebo were great bonuses with beautiful views. The check-in process was simple and smooth, and the entire house was spotless. The linens were clean and fresh and everything was in working order. The owner was communicative before and during our stay, offering helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone looking to visit Jim Thorpe.
