About this house rental

Just across the street from the iconic Hanalei Bay with its ocean sunset and mountain waterfall views, this large family home is perfect for your Kauai vacation!

From the generous lanai complete with gas grill, you’ll be awed by the majestic scenery and tropical landscaping. Direct access to the lifeguarded soft-sand beach makes it easy for everyone to roam back and forth freely. You’ll also be just a short stroll from fabulous Hanalei town, a bohemian and eclectic enclave.

Hale Naninoa features 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, air-conditioning in the upper living area & all bedrooms. Enjoy a spacious tropical outdoor shower! With two separate indoor living areas plus the furnished lanai and super-fast wifi throughout, there’s plenty of room to spread out and allow each family member to find their own “happy place”.

Upstairs, the family will enjoy the spectacular views from the sliding glass doors leading to the oversized covered lanai. Here is a complete outdoor living area, with generous seating, gas grill and a deck bar for sunset mai tais in full view of the deep blue water of Hanalei Bay.

Downstairs may just be taken over by the youngest of the group for its fun party feel. It has a large seating area, 4K flat-screen TV, and a ping-pong table. Perfect for some friendly competition! In addition, this level has two bedrooms and one full bath.

Indoors, you’ll find a traditional Hawaiian-style home, with white beadboard, vaulted ceilings, and ceiling fans in every room. Lots of windows bring in abundant natural light and spectacular views. The trade winds, ocean waters, and air-conditioned living space will keep you cool.

The large kitchen features stainless steel appliances, plenty of workspace on granite counters, quality chef’s gear, lots of cabinets, and two full-sized refrigerators for all your goodies. Enjoy fresh tropical smoothies from your Vitamix!

The eat-in kitchen offers an expansive natural monkeypod table with seating for 12, and the living room has another large 4K flat-screen TV and comfortable seating. Down the hall are two bedrooms that share one full bath plus an en-suite master bedroom with a private balcony, all with jaw-dropping waterfall views.

We were so thrilled to be able to spend time here with our extended family. The kids were able to walk across the street to the beach with ease, and then wash off the sand in the beautiful outdoor shower. The kitchen was large so that several people could cook at one time. The air conditioning and porch shades cooled everyone down until the beautiful sunsets appeared. The beach cruisers made it easy to bike around the nearby town. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Hanalei. The house had everything our family needed to be comfortable and especially appreciated the well appointed kitchen and beach supplies. The property manager was quick to respond if we had questions. The house was clean and well taken care of and is in a perfect location for walking to the beach and shops in Hanalei. We had a great time!

So this property is literally across the street from the world famous Hanalei Bay beach with super convenient parking lot access across the street. What makes this so great is guests coming over can use that parking lot or you can have them park in your driveway or curb and walk to beach. The unit itself is great with AC that actually work great. Highly recommend !!!

The house is lovely! Beach, bikes, boogie boards, surfboards, beach, chairs, etc. was wonderful to have! Really nice washer and dryers! The AC units throughout the house were wonderful to have. Just to warn anyone, the stairs to the downstairs, are steep and tiled so can be dangerous for little ones, and the elderly. Absolutely perfect location!

The location of this property is absolutely perfect. Less than five minute walk to beach. Plenty of chairs, umbrellas, and beach gear for multiple people. The house was clean, everything worked as expected. A/C keep the house comfortable temperature. Great outdoor shower. Close to town and wonderful places to eat and shop. Recommend 10 out of 10 times to anyone.

The location is perfect, and the property is clean and well maintained. We enjoyed walking to town-even the 3 year old could do it. We stopped at Tahiti Nui for delicious drinks and appetizers and got fish from the Dolphin Fish Market as often as possible, then bbq-ed on the lanai, enjoying sunsets, rainbows, and even a moonbow! We’ve been coming to Hanalei for 35 years and always stayed on the beach. Now most all these properties are no longer on the rental market, so finding one that was so close to the public access entrance, yet not noisy or trafificy, was a treat. We were a party of 6 adults, a toddler and two crawling infants. Features like a well stocked kitchen and clean ample laundry facilities were much appreciated. The little ones were happily tucked away in the quiet downstairs bedrooms reachable by a conveniently gated staircase. We had beautiful weather and made good use of the beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, bikes, etc. This house was fully equipped. I for one also appreciated how nicely decorated it was, from the beautiful dining table to the wall art. Many rentals have that dreary look of worn out bedding and second hand furnishings. This house looked and felt just right. And the grounds were a constant source of wonder, especially with babies to distract. Beautiful, unique flowering specimens and a marvelous banana tree. Our few questions for property management were dealt with quickly and courteously. I could see our family choosing to stay again in the future.

The view from the deck and kitchen was probably our favorite thing, unobstructed and you walk across the street to enjoy Hanalei Bay. All the rooms were well stocked. Loved the outdoor shower and ping pong table. 5 bikes in the garage and all the beach things you need. Short walk to town or really short bike ride. We LOVED this house and would definitely love to stay here again.

We were two families and the house was terrific for our spring break. The highlights were: comfortable sleeping for everyone; a very well-stocked kitchen (we joked that we wanted to give it an extra star for having tupperware); an orderly garage with on-point beach gear. It's right across the street from an excellent beach and the town is walking distance but we used the bikes a ton to get there and back. Recommend!

The house is super clean and adequate. The shining glories are that (1) the basement makes a great 2-bedroom apartment for the kids (2) it’s located directly across from the public beach with life guard, AND (3) it includes bikes, surf boards, boogie boards, snorkels, beach towels, beach chairs… that is huge. :)

Wonderful! We were a family of 8 adults, two kids and a baby. The setup was perfect for us. The family with the kids had the lower level and the rest were upstairs. The gate leading to downstairs was very helpful for a baby who just learned to walk. FYI there is a pack and play in one of the guest rooms upstairs, it’s not in listing so don’t lug yours like we did. The traffic on the main road in front of the house was not bad at all, lots of surfers in the morning headed to the pier. We saw the same folk every day, what a life! The house is in a perfect location, directly across from the main entrance to beach and close walk or bike to town. The yard is impeccably maintained, there is a cute orange kitty that loves to drop by and say hi and a rooster who thinks he’s all that. Ha! The house was very warm upon arrival but once we let the heat out and turned the wall AC on it cooled off, it did take a good day for it to cool upper floor. Bedrooms are still warm but the fans were super helpful. This humidity hater survived, so can you. We had a chef who was very thankful for the AC! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, maybe a refresh of utensils but overall all was perfect. The serving platters and nice bowls were wonderful for our dinners in. The house was very clean, comfy beds and lots of towels. Zero complaints. We were appreciative of all the beach equipments, lots of tents, umbrellas, beach towels, flippers, kids beach toys, bikes, boogie boards and soooo much snorkel gear (we bought new and added to the collection). 10 days in paradise at this beautiful property. A trip that we will remember forever. Thank you for the memories!

Location, location, location! Aside from the property's own amenities, you cannot beat the location. We barely drove our rental cars during the entire stay. The seemingly unlimited beach is across the street and restaurants and shops are a short walk/bike ride away.

Great location. Easy to walk or ride bikes to anywhere in Hanalei. The house was fantastic. We had 10 people 6 adults and 4 teens - all fit comfortably. Enough space for everyone. Great kitchen and perfect dining table - and able to cook most nights for everyone. Only wish we could have used the 2nd fridge like we had planned, but it all worked out. The bikes were great to get around town. The canopies and umbrellas were "well loved" and not all functional. Beds were all comfortable and we slept well. We celebrated our parent's 50th anniversary in comfort and style. A trip of a lifetime. Mahalo!

The house accommodated us well despite an initial concern about the small living room. Most of our leisure time was spent at the beach or hiking and the lanai was a generous size and well furnished for outdoor lounging. We cooked most meals at the house with the benefit of dolphin fish market, farmers markets and foodlandia in Pricevilles. House was very well equipped for a group (except for an odd absence of decent cooking utensils and bbq utensils) Beach equipment and bikes are superb. Kevin’s availability and responsiveness were fantastic.

This property was everything we had hoped for. Great space for all 9 of us to engage and separate when needed. View and proximity to the beach couldn't be better. The bikes allowed for so much more access to see the island! Plenty of beach toys to entertain everyone! Special touches throughout the house were very much appreciated. Kitchen was equipped with everything we could have needed and plenty of dishes, silverware and glasses! Very appreciative to have the perfect space for our family and the memories made celebrating Mom's 88th birthday!

We had 9 people stay here ranging from age 8 to 83 and this property is perfect for a family or group of friends to stay. Plenty of space to spread out, easy access to the Hanalei beach and pier, and a quick 5 minute walk into town. There was plenty of outdoor/beach equipment to use. It would have been nice to have a canopy available for spending a few hours at the beach in the sun - it gets hot! The property looked just like the online photos. The house was immaculate, the views were spectacular and everything you could want in a vacation home, whether it was in the kitchen or bathroom, was available for use. The neighborhood was very pleasant and quiet. Communication with the property manager was promptly addressed. We have already recommended this house to other family members and will definitely recommend to any friends planning a trip to Kauai in the future. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again!

The location of this wonderful Hanalei house was terrific. Our family (ages 1 to 64) could not have been happier. Proximity to the beach and the availability of all the toys - surf boards, boogie boards, sand toys and beach chairs made everyone happy. The well-stocked kitchen was an added bonus. We loved everything about this house. It wasn't cheap, but it was perfect for the size, location, and amenities. We went b/c I have Stage 4 Lung Cancer and wanted to be close to the ocean and this worked perfectly b/c it my energy is pretty low and wanted a close place to walk. It was an amazing trip with my family for this very special trip. Thank you for everything! Bob
