Seasonal rental in the countryside, 5 min from all shops 10 min from Isle sur la Sorgue

We had a great stay at the accommodation. It was perfect for a family and in a nice secluded spot that was a perfect retreat after busy days of sight seeing.

We had a smashing time - all too short. The property is well positioned and well appointed throughout. The dishwasher was an added bonus. The views to the castle were stunning and the walks in the surrounding area were easy and safe. Locally, the house is close to Le thor and other small villages with excellent shops and services - we especially enjoyed the Sunday market at Ile sur la sorgue - watch out for the Punt racing too. Meals out were good value and hosts were lovely at Ile sur la sorgue - but also in Avignon where the ice creams were also quite fabulous too! We ate out and for our family the meals were good value but also good fare! Local shopping with the advent of smaller U and Intermarche was helpful. Local out of town centres were excellent too . Nimes and Marseille were not too far away - Nimes was a little disappointing after Avignon and Aix - they were stunning and great drives too. Mont Ventoux for those that like the Tour de France is a must - but watch out for the mad cyclists who get to the top ! All in all smashing and good fun - should have also mentioned the swimming pool - above ground but oh so good to cool in after a long days sight seeing.

We had a fabulous stay in April with three kids, 2.5, 2.5 and 6 months. The house is well equipped and well maintained without lots of extra stuff I’d worry about my kids breaking! The owners live next door and we’re very welcoming and helpful. Even leaving us wine and breakfast supplies when we arrived in the evening. The garden is completely safe and enclosed, perfect to let the kids explore safely. A fun short walk to the the Le Thor ruins. The house is also the perfect distance from lots of nearby attractions so you can explore further afield. The only tricky thing for us was the steep stairs up to the lounge with toddlers, but a stair gate was provided. I would definitely recommend the house and hope to return there too.

We had a marvellous week here in April 2017. We forgot our child's bed, but they had one there and let us use it. The house is well equipped, clean and with a stunning view. The garden is enormous, and enclosed, so our son loved his week of kicking a ball around, whilst we relaxed in the knowledge he was safe. Our son also loved chasing the chickens and other such novelties for a city dweller! The local villages and towns are charming and well worth exploring, and if you get the chance, it is worth the 45 minute/1 hour walk up to the ruins of the Thouzon Monastery for the view over the region. Don't hesitate to book, as the hosts, who live in a separate property next door, are very accommodating and really lovely people.

Ein schöner Urlaub in Le Thor liegt hinter uns. Die Wohnung und Gartenmöbel sind zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber dafür war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Herr Mourges war immer ansprechbar und hat täglich den Garten und Pool gereinigt bzw. nachgefüllt. Im Haus wäre ein Staubsauger sinnvoll und in der Anzeige der Hinweis wichtig, dass Bettbezüge und Handtücher selber mitzubringen sind. Ansonsten entsprechen die Bilder der Realität. Die Lage und Umgebung ist ruhig und für diverse Ausflüge in die wunderschöne Umgebung ideal. Wir haben den Urlaub und Aufenthalt in unserem Haus in Le Thor sehr genossen.
