Lovely gite in a quiet village, with a self service farm shop a 5 minute walk away. Shower/wet room and toilet on the ground floor,excellent for anyone with restricted mobility.Upper floor and 2 beds accessed via a beautifully made staircase., they have a very talented carpenter!The property was clean and tidy on arrival, and it has a good sized enclosed back garden, great for dogs and small children.Communication with the owners was excellent, any queries were resolved quickly, bearing in mind that the owners also run a family farm.The village is very pleasant, but has no village boulangerie. Fresh eggs, fruit, veg and locally made cakes and preserves are available at the farm shop just down the road. The nearest shops are a short drive away. Guines and Ardres are both nearby, and we recommend the Clinique Veterinaire du Camp du Drap D'or for the return trip to the UK for animals. The Foret de Guines is excellent for dog walks and mountain biking, Nordic Walking also being a favourite pastime here.We'll be back :)

We had a wonderful stay there. The house is rather small, but very lovingly furnished. The owners were very friendly; the grill wasn't there at first, but it was brought immediately when we asked for it. Rodelinghem is a good base for excursions.The neighboring farm is a bit noisy.

We experienced a wonderful holiday here. The cottage was also perfect for our little French bulldog, who could let off steam in the garden. We didn't miss it. Especially the kitchen is super equipped. While the place itself is small, you can reach castles, shopping facilities and larger cities within 20 minutes. It was perfect for us. Thank you

I think Sophie needs to translate her communication to English before she send it as I had to use the translator to understand her message,only because on the site says communication possible in bilingual..also it says sheets available,but £6 A pair I asked for explanation but not clear ended up with no bed bottom sheet and pillow cover ...she is lovely it's my second time with her..all the best

The house is well equipped and secure garden for dogs. However it could be better described both to benefit of owner and visitors. The en suite comprises shower and basin only. Toilet is separate off sitting room. There is a tiny but perfectly adequate second shower room off the sitting room currently used as a cupboard for hoover etc. the stairs are not suitable indeed are potentially dangerous for anyone with limited mobility. Hope this is helpful.

We had a fabulous 2 weeks staying in this attractive and cosy gite. It felt like a home from home to us. Thank you Anne-Sophie and Patrick! The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. There is a kiosk selling produce a few minutes walk away and it is a short drive to nearby supermarkets. The gite is in a lovely quiet village but not far from great beaches and other good places to visit like Nausicca, St. Omer and the various marshes. We would recommend a ride on the Calais dragon! A great place to stay for our family of 4, and our little dog felt right at home too with such a big garden to roam in.

In a quiet rural village, the property had all the space and amenities that we needed, and the whole village was calm and peaceful for the few days we were there. Good house, nice place. The village: nothing to do and smelly. The egg - bread - milk automatique is great. Not far from the sea / Calais /Boulogne / Cap Nez. Not expensive. We had a good time. Thank you!

The layot ticked all the boxes for one old lady and her three dogs. Car backed up to wide opening door made it easy to unload cages into the sitting room. Secure garden of mown grass at the back. Main bedroom downstairs with ensuite shower so no need for any of us to tackle the open stairs. Plentiful cooking utensils plus kettle and toaster. Electric oven a bit high tech for me but eventually got a hot meal out of it. Wasted a lot of fuel looking for local shops before finding an excellent one for food in Ardres, also high class baker. Only downside was no wifi but people in the more spacious and luxurious property opposite (same owners) very kindly let me connect my laptop to theirs. Would happily book again if I needed to be in the area for a couple of days.

We had a wonderful staying in this house, house is absolutely cozy and located in a nice countryside (as we love countryside, for us it was perfect location). The house was really clean, and you can see that the owners made a good care of everything, as well it is really well equipped with lovely kitchen, we had also specious garden. Although it is only 18 months since my wife of 50 years sadly died , I thoroughly enjoyed my week in Rodelinghem. The cottage was very cosy, with plenty of land in which my dog (lottie) could play. I found the local cafes and restaurants very dog friendly, which is important to me. I certainly hope to go again.

Hosts very welcoming and property clean and beautifully decorated. Convenient location for ferry ports, eurotunnel, beaches and City Europe shopping centre. The property is situated in a small peaceful village. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you need for self catering. This is our third visit and we would highly recommend this property

After a disappointing start, due to a mix up in communication which left us waiting for an hour, (we hadn’t been told that the key had been left somewhere for us, and thought it was being dropped off), we had a short (1 night) but very nice stay. Anne-Sophie dropped by in person to apologise, which was very nice of her, and really appreciated. She was lovely, we managed to communicate (even though my French is very limited), and she recommended a lovely restaurant in Ardres (a nearby village). The cottage was really nice and very clean, very well equipped, with a really comfortable bed and sofa. A very big back garden, and a large grassed area at the front for our dog to play.

Ideal overnight for a stop off before the tunnel, easy lead up to the stay and lovely to meet Anne-Sophie after we got delayed on the way. Gite has most of what you need, no towels or tea towels provided though. Excellent garden and lovely location, only flaw was uncontrollable as it had been a hot few days the bedrooms were very warm and stuffy, in-turn we suffered at the hands of the mosquitoes having the windows ajar. Perfect for a small family just pack some mosquito spray for a full nights sleep this time of year.

A wonderful house, set in such beautiful surrounding countryside. It was incredibly peaceful and with a lovely garden. Perfect! Hosts Anne-Sophie and Patrick were great hosts and very welcoming, a pleasure to meet them. The house was very clean, with all the amenities we needed. There were also guides and information on the local area in the house. We would certainly return in the future and highly recommend this property. Thank you for such a great stay!

we stayed in the cottage for 4 nights. the owner was not able to communicate in English but we managed with the translator app in my phone. she was a lovely lady with good attitude. we could not visit her farm due to bad weather....It was a lovely cottage. The kitchen was provided with plenty of utensils and cutleries for some one, who fancy to do serious cooking. Also I was amazed by the attitude and approach of the owner lady .full of energy and passion.... Also weather was poor in general but we lucky we travelled to Paris 3 hrs journey and also travelled to Dunkirk to see museum but was closed.. chilled out at home on Sunday as shops were all about close by 12..calis was empty so missed shopping..... if weather is nice horse riding is available nearby which we used on our previous visit and plenty more....

We had a lovely four night stay here in November. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well heated. Everything you need to self cater is provided. The heating is excellent. We weren't able to use the fireplace but other than that I can't fault it. Patrick and Sophie were very helpful before and during our stay. We speak very little French but we managed to communicate effectively. Both Patrick and Sophie were very friendly. Definitely recommended and we hope to return.

Very cosy and comfortable. A handy stop over near Calais. Very clean and obviously has been recently redecorated. No linen is supplied not even a discloth. We had to use paper towels. This was a bit of a surprise as in all the other places we stayed in during our trip around France everything was supplied and obviously included in the price . It is difficult to travel with sheets and towels when you travel from the other side of the world. However we managed and enjoyed our stop over.
