An exceptional property in the heart of the Loire Valley’s castles and the vineyards of Chinon, “Le Clos des Maçonnières” welcomes you to a refined setting for a stay dedicated to relaxation and discovery.
This 18th-century farmhouse, typical of Chinon and fully renovated, can accommodate up to 25 people in 400 square meters of interior space. A library, a large living room, a lounge with a bread oven, a game room, lofts, and fireplaces—you’ll find all the elements of an exceptional home.
You’ll be able to enjoy the tranquility of the 2,000-square-meter inner courtyard with its four separate terraces, indoor pool, and outdoor pool (April 1 through October 31). The outdoor courtyard will allow everyone, young and old, to gather for moments of relaxation: petanque, volleyball, badminton, a climbing frame, and a sandbox.
Finally, the Clos des Maçonnières will let you enjoy the sights and cultural attractions of one of France’s most famous regions.
Tastefully restored: The house is built from local “Tuffault” stone and covered with old tiles. Whenever possible, the original materials were preserved or reused to ensure the property’s authenticity. The restoration work was carried out by craftsmen from the Tour de France to meet the main objectives: respecting the built heritage and reusing old materials, while also incorporating modern comfort.

Magnifique battisse parfaitement entretenue, l'accueil a été chaleureux et les recommandations utiles.
La décoration intérieure est superbe et la présence de l’exposition de peinture est originale et donne un petit plus.
Les enfants ont adoré le terrain de jeu aménagé et bien sur la piscine
Tout cela était parfait pour ce WE de retrouvaille en famille , nous étions 24...

Le gîte correspond totalement à la description qui en est faite. Nous étions 23 adultes ainsi qu'un bébé et nous avons passé un excellent week end. Que ce soit l'intérieur comme l'extérieur du gîte tout est très bien pensé et très agréable. Il y a de l'espace pour tout le monde et la piscine est vraiment plus qu'agréable.
De plus, le gîte est réellement équipé pour y vivre à 25.
Je recommande vivement ce gîte pour passer un séjour entre amis, vous ne serez pas déçus.

La propriété est en effet une bâtisse de charme, même en plein hiver. Nous ne sommes cependant pas dans le haut de gamme comme le stipule l'annonce: nous avons eu à déplorer un système de chauffage défaillant (tant au niveau des cheminées que des chauffages), des équipements endommagés, et nous émettons un doute quant à la possibilité de loger à 25 dans la demeure. Nous étions 10 adultes et 6 enfants et nous avons eu l'impression d'être aux limites du confort (bruit/espace/place à table). Enfin, nous n'avons su qu'après réservation que la piscine n'est pas chauffée ni accessible en hiver.
Tout cela manquait de prestation.
C'est plutôt un gîte familial, pas plus.
