The cabin met our needs. Grandchildren enjoyed the bunk room. The house and porches were spacious and allowed room for both solo and group spaces. Kitchen was well equipped. The grill was unusable due to much rust. The stones approaching the front steps, while beautiful, were a bit treacherous. A fit family member had a twisted ankle when using.We enjoyed the bullfrog chorus at the pond.

We had a great stay for a long weekend. The house was very clean and well stocked with the basics… plenty of pots, pans, kitchen items, and dish soap, which made cooking easy. The location worked really well for us. It’s a short drive to both Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain, and there’s a great easy hike just five minutes down the road.We also enjoyed the property itself. The pond was fun to sit and watch… we saw quite a bit of wildlife. The front porch is beautiful and has a large table that was perfect for meals and coffee outside. The board games were a nice touch as well.Just a small FYI for future guests: there wasn’t any laundry detergent provided, so you may want to bring some if you plan to do laundry.Overall, a really relaxing and comfortable place to stay. We’d definitely come back.
