Recanto Jardim Do Mar

Great location. Be aware the entrance is from a narrow walkway - no cars, in fact there was a walk from the parked car (we used the street opposite the car park rather than the busy car park). You can clearly gauge the distance on google maps. Little problem opening the lock on the gate - solved by pulling the door knocker firmly to release the sticking yale lock. Many thanks to Marisela for her help. Property itself was good with a vies over the sea. Instructions on how to use appliances e.g cooker, micro wave etc would have helped. But then they were only used for breakfast, bought from supermarket in Paul do Mar. Afternoon/early evening drinks overlooking sea at Cafeteria Portinho, evening meals in Osteria Jardim do Mar ( terrace overlooking sea), and Restaurant Tarmar were all excellant and always enjoyable. Air con in room was excellant - found that by keeping "fan" button pressed it went to whisper quiet mode. One of the quietest and most efficient systems I have seen. Good location to some easy and scary Levada walks by hire car - the hire companies advice was "get an automatic" Totally agree with that if you're to drive into the mountains- lots of hair pin bends! Once again thanks to Marisela for her advice to walk Levada Moinho out and Levada Nova back - wonderfull, but not for the faint hearted as at times there are vertical drops (unfenced) at the side of the concrete path. If you want to do this walk GO EARLY! Parking spaces are very limited. What with fantastic weather every day, all in all a most excellant holiday. We'll be back!

The bed pillows were very hard - we are used to square continental pillows so found these strange. Don't expect sandy beaches, Calhetta has one but that was imported from Morocco. Most beaches are rock or breakwaters. This area is great for surfing!

Excellent accommodation with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We really loved the town where the apartments are located — it’s wonderful for walking both during the day and in the evening. The seaside promenade is beautiful, and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. The sound of the ocean is incredibly relaxing. There is a great Italian restaurant in town, as well as a small grocery store that has all the essentials. The apartment is well-equipped for cooking, with comfortable beds and pillows, and it also has air conditioning. We stayed for a week and were completely satisfied with everything. We will definitely come back again. ⭐️🌊🏡

La ventilation dans les salles de bains. Pas de VMC . Pas de notice pour faire fonctionner la télé

Logement tres spacieux, très confortable et très propre, extrèmement bien situé, au coeur du magnifique village de Jardim Do Mar, dans une ruelle calme et piétonne. Superbe terrasse avec vue sur la mer. Deux chambres doubles avec chacune une belle salle de bains. Propriétaire très arrangeante et qui nous a donné la possibilité très appréciable de nous installer dès le matin si nous le souhaitions. Nous reviendrons !

Il manque un vrai four et un lave-vaisselle.
