On request with breakfast possible!Mellau is the perfect starting point for numerous holiday activities. Embedded in an impressive mountain scenery, more than 80 km of marked paths in the municipality invite you to hikes or Mountain hikes of all kinds. Due to the location at the mouth of the Mellenbach in the Bregenzerache, offer all the leisure activities with and around the water, such as rafting, canyoning, fishing, but also the mere "immersion" in nature. A swimming pool and a golf driving range offer additional opportunities for activity. If that is not enough, you can explore the Bregenzerwald by bike or bike on marked cycle paths. The various events organized by the Tourist Office, such as local concerts, guided hikes and much more, also offer variety. Bregenzerwald Guest CardThe Bregenzerwald Guest Card is from 1. May to 31. October the "ticket" to the mountain experiences in the Bregenzerwald. It is valid for any number of excursions on the cable cars, for environmentally friendly rides on public buses and for refreshing and relaxing hours in the outdoor pools. You will receive the Bregenzerwald Guest Card if you stay three or more nights in one of the villages in the Bregenz Forest. It is included in the room rate. The card is available on presentation of the guest card in the tourist office or at the mountain railways. The new MellaubahnMellau cable cars will take you comfortably to Rossplatz, at 1,400 m, into the extensive hiking area. Numerous managed Alps are easily accessible. At the mountain station there are also two restaurants with beautiful sun terraces that invite you to linger. Especially recommended for families are the meandering streams of the Alpbach in the area of the Alpe Kanis and the Dürrenbach on the Rossstelle.
