Sweeping Ocean Views From This Beautiful Home with Beach Access Close By!

Even though it was cold and somewhat rainy there due to the time of year that we traveled..this was a lovely little tucked away place on the coast..quiet, peaceful, lovely..

Went on a short coastal getaway with a friend and we had such a nice stay in this house! You really couldn't ask for better beach access and the deck off the side of the house was perfect for lounging and watching the waves roll in. Everything was clean, functional, and well maintained.

Lovely and comfortable home. It’s what was advertised and well stocked. Very comfortable stay for our 6 days there. The stairs down to the beach worked out well.

Comfortable, spacious, hospitable, well furnished, with some nice owner touches, like the lighthouse collection in lighted case. The kitchen worked well for several to share in cooking with just about all the supplies needed. Would've been nice to have a stock pot or large dutch oven. Even knives were good! Great ocean views through ample windows and literally steps from the beach for easy and spontaneous access. It's at the end of the short "Lois Lane," (which, with deep potholes, was in serious need of grading) so had great privacy and no traffic.

High points: Spectacular view of the ocean! Well equipped kitchen. Mattresses in the bedrooms were so comfortable. Low points: The driveway had three major craters & other minor craters! We have a Honda Pilot so going 5 miles an hour coming in worked but so dangerous coming off the highway - you had to go from 40-50 miles an hour on the highway and drop to 5 miles per hour and pray you didn't get rear-ended. Need to fix! TV never worked for the entire week.

The Payn House was a wonderful and beautiful place to stay and I would definitely stay there again. The house had wonderful views and it was super comfortable place to relax and be with family.

We had a great stay at this wonderful wonderful home right on the beach of the Pacific Ocean the Pacific Ocean. There is a staircase that literally leads right down to the beach and at high tide the water makes its way to the bottom step of the ladder. Felt like we were staying in a families members home, nice and cozy. Well sticked with all the pots, pans, and kitchen gadgets you could want for your own cooking. Or, within a few minutes driving you could frequent many great local eateries. Also, great location for dive breathtaking hikes along the beach and forest.

It's amazing we'll maintained and clean house with ocean view and direct access to the beach. Other observations: the property has shared access (stairs) to the beach. So, some people walk through time to time. The Lois lane road is quite narrow, not paved and has a few pot holes.

Closeness to the beach was perfect. House and location was great.

Private property location with great views and conveniently close to Yachats. Like the No smoking and NO pets policy. Will definitely stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay at Payn House, and we wished we could have stayed at least a week (our stay was three nights). The view of the ocean was lovely, even from the master bedroom. Luggage has to be carried up stairs, and there’s no beach access in the winter, but the listing information is very clear about this, no surprises. The gas fireplace makes the living room very cosy, the kitchen is convenient, and the whole place is clean. We definitely would stay at Payn house again.

The only single issue we had was one of the rooms did not have a cable box in it. Outside of that the house was as shown and would recommend and we will be staying there again.

By far this has been one of the best rentals we have stayed in on the Oregon Coast- Property Management Company - had a clear open communication from the beginning- ( we did not need to use it) but knew it was there if needed. Home was just as decribed as far as location and views- Home was clean, and had everything we needed! ENJOYED our stay 100%

The location and view are great, but the home could use some TLC. The kitchen is well equipped, but the faucet was not attached to the sink and was hard to use. There is a small propane grill, but no fuel (even though I had been told it would be provided). We would go back for the view.

This property was exactly as described, and was perfect! There was adequate furniture for hanging out, but it was also open enough to still feel spacious. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and the whole place was quite clean! Plus, property management was just a text away. This property sits right on the coast, making it perfect for watching waves and experiencing the crashing surf up close! We were looking for a time for rejuvenation, and found it!

The view from living room and bedrooms is beautiful. The property is as pictured and was very clean. It's very private. The Payne House is a new favorite.

Lovely home, well equipped, sparkling clean. Would suggest a new couch as current one sinks badly. Would suggest a his home to friends, and book again for our family.

The most beautiful view of the ocean right near the beach.

The pictures of the ocean view from Payn House are what enticed us to rent it, and the view does not disappoint - in virtually all rooms of the house one sees, hears and feels the sea as a presence. Two seaside decks further the experience of feeling near the ocean. Check-in was a breeze, and a minor issue was repaired quickly. The house feels large for four people (those windows!) and it is VERY well stocked with linens, books, games, and a kitchen that has everything one could desire for cooking quick and/or extravagant meals. As the owners note, there is NO beach access from the house, but within a minute’s drive one will find beautiful, striking areas with easy parking and fabulous beach/trail access. Nearby Yachats provides a variety of restaurants, and there is much to do and see within a thirty mile radius. We were delighted with the home and found it very hard to leave!

This was our fourth time staying in this home, but the first time that the stairs to the beach have been in place. We really enjoy staying here - the view is amazing, the beach is great for barefoot walking, and you can go a couple miles into Yachats. The home is very comfortable, especially with the new mattress in the master bedroom. This time we saw an eagle on the beach and had two black bears outside the house trying to get in our garbage can - luckily there are bear proof fasteners on them! We plan on returning to this house again.

This property is so amazing, I almost skipped over the "review your stay" as I would love to come back and I don't want it to become so popular that it is unavailable. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home.

The home was very beautiful had everything you need. It was very clean. They provided history of the owners. They had a beautiful display case of light houses that was just great. The weather was beautiful had a great time walking on the beach the view from the deck and from inside the house was perfect. Could not have asked for a better place. Had a little issue when we first got there but called and they sent a person out to take care of us right away.

We had several issues with the house that were poorly communicated and not resolved. The house was quite cold, the gas fireplace did not work which we only found out after 3 phone calls. The beach is not accessible during the winter which we only found out after yet another phone call. The dish washer did not work, yet another phone call with no results. We have rented many houses on the coast but never had this many issues with a house. Also be warned that the fees associated with this rental are quite high. We payed about $200 in service fees for a 3 day stay, this included a service fee for VRBO, a service fee for Meredith Lodging and a cleaning fee. Add to this about $70 tax which gives you an extra $270 just in fees and taxes.
