I booked this for a weekend birthday getaway for myself, my wife, and our two dogs. When I arrived at the property I observed the condition of the property. There were at least 25-30 pile of dog feces in the backyard. I called right away asking for this to get taken care of. There were multiple commitments made with no follow thru. This did not get addressed until Saturday afternoon, which was more than half my stay. This property was fairly expensive to book and one of the big reasons we booked this property was to allow our dogs to be in a fenced environment and enjoy our stay. It was so gross we had to walk our dogs when they wanted to go outside. I am the one that had to reach out to Meredith Lodging who was managing this property, and not once did they call me back. I had to call back everytime. Stay away from this property. There are a lot better ones to stay at for the price.

We chose this property based on the location and the flexibility to bring our dog on his first trip to the ocean. The property is easy to find and really close walk to the ocean. The house had a bit of a musty or pet smell but that might be pretty normal for an older home that's really close to the ocean and wasn't a deal breaker but we did open the windows and get some fresh air. The house was clean and had all of the things that we needed. There is only one bathroom and it's a little bit outdated but worked for what we needed. Overall I would say the house isn't as updated as the photos suggest, but it is still a cute property. I think the price is based on the location to the ocean and not necessarily the house itself. That being said, we would probably stay there again. We only used the primary bedroom, but the bed was comfortable and quiet. The neighbors were kind and welcoming and it's a rather quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

Great location, easy to find, with private parking. A fenced yard and fire pit in the back for those cool fall nights was a plus. The house has two bedroom and one bathroom. The main bedroom has a king size bed (albeit a bit hard for our liking) and the second bedroom was up a very steep staircase with multiple beds. The home was clean and provided all the necessary amenities for a weekend stay. As a final note, the bathroom could use a “refresh” and I found the per night rate was a bit steep.

This is always our go to place to stay. We love this house. I am a little disappointed though. I don't feel like it is being taken care as well. It needs a tiny bit of work. The bathroom tub area needs calking and some paint. Clean up the rust/brown spots. The balcony upstairs could use some fresh paint or needs new boards, my teenagers didn't feel that safe up there because the boards looks like they are rotting out. I think it might just need paint. The kitchen is so very well stocked. Did miss not having foil and zip lock bags. Maybe I was just lucky last time. Let the cleaners know that there were hair left on the walls of the shower. Loved the throw blankets so much that i order some for my own house! Thanks for the wonderful stay. We will be back again.

We booked to stay 3 nights here- overall good stay. When we arrived, the bottom bedroom bed was stripped and not clean, dirty towels in the washer. When contacting the management company, the response was house keeping ran out of time. Clean sheets were dropped off the next day by the door but no follow up was made and no one told us about the clean sheets being dropped off. Only a roll and a half of toilet paper for three nights and three people. Laundry detergent was not labeled and in a high up basket we were not able to see. Other essentials like a baking pan, tin foil, etc were not available either. For the nights we stayed, overall good stay.

Overall the house is in a quiet neighborhood, the beach is within walking distance, and being able to bring my dog along was wonderful. There were toys and games for my children to play with and the house is fairly small kid friendly. However, the listing boasts a newly renovated house and the photos make it appear waaaay more updated than it is. Upon first entrance, we could smell a hint of dog urine. The kitchen was wonderfully updated and had all the things. The bathroom definitely needs some love. The door handle felt like it would rip off, its dark and cob webs are everywhere. The main bedroom was large, but the bed is horribly hard. The stairs to go upstairs to the other beds are incredibly steep. The back door to go to the porch doesn't lock and made me feel slighly uncomfortable. The yard was fabulous, however the fence is wobbly/falling in some parts and has some holes. The fire pit was wonderful other than the raw oysters that were left in there. Flies were everywhere, but after a couple fires that problem slowly went away. Overall, the house is good, but the price is way too high for the amenities.

We stayed here for two nights, and it was so adorable. The kitchen had everything we needed! We loved the layout and played games. Our four kids, ages 8-12, had the upstairs to themselves, and everyone had their own space and bed. The beach is close by, and the side of the house has a feet cleaning station. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. A house two doors down caught on fire in the middle of the night and we evacuated but multiple firefighters responded quickly and contained the fire quickly. The area is a close community and we really enjoyed our stay! Definitely would stay here again and also go to Depoe Baykery! Its so good!

My dog and I had a great stay at the property. The location is close to the beach (5 minute walk) and the fenced backyard is the primary reason selected for this stay. Being able to relax in the backyard when we weren't out exploring the nearby area was excellent.

This was our second stay at this house. This time we came with my son and 3 of his friends to celebrate his 16th birthday and bid a farewell to summer. This house is perfect: super comfortable and felt like home. We’ll be back again this summer! Highly recommend!

The house was cute and the kitchen remarkably well stocked. We were on a working trip, and appreciated the many outlets in the dining areas, and amused by the odd location of other outlets (up near the ceiling above a window?). It was an easy walk to the beach, and the neighborhood was quiet and interesting to walk around. Only odd thing was my dog absolutely refused to go in the back yard, and we have no idea why.

This cottage is absolutely darling and quite spacious for 2 adults and 2 larger dogs, and easily would fit more people with the beds upstairs. Plenty of room in the kitchen to cook without running into each other. Enjoyed my evenings by the fire. The yard is completely fenced so I felt safe letting my dogs explore. Didn't get a chance to use the outside fire pit, but it would make for a lovely evening in better weather. The beach was an easy walk and was much quieter than the public beaches down the road. I would love to stay here again.

We really liked our stay. The home is very comfortable and dog friendly. We really liked the second floor. We did not use that though. The sunroom had unique smell and bathmats were bit dirty. Except these things, the house was perfect!! Thank you very much !!

They made it look much more updated and clean/new than what reality showed. The bathroom in particular. I hope the concerns we brought to the property manager directly are dealt with accordingly.

This house had the perfect garden backyard to hang out as a family. We could hear the waves at night and wasn't a far walk to what felt like a private beach. Our kids loved the top floor, toys, and games. We appreciated the dog toys, etc. Also, the property managers obviously read reviews and made changes like adding a toaster and sprucing up the front fence. The house had everything we needed and was a short drive to some of the best places on the central coast. This isn't a brand new house, it was exactly what we anticipated for a coastal cottage within our price range. Only recommendation is to have a fan on the top floor for hot days.

Our stay was wonderful and we will be back. Such a perfect place. We went for my twins 18th birthday and they brought a friend. The upstairs bedroom was perfect for them all. But it does get very warm up there. They stayed up there most of the time. I made full dinners every night. It was so nice to be able to cook everything since the kitchen you could think of Even coffee! Couple things to mention though - Handle on the toilet needs replaced. Make sure that the shower rod is tight and in place before getting in the shower, it fell when getting in. Also, make sure all the bulbs are working in the lights before the cleaners are done. We had a few that the bulbs were burnt out. Last thing, The fan in the Master needs replaced, the back is falling off. We took the fan upstairs because that room gets HOT!

My kids and I enjoyed the home, the Joey neighborhood, and the short walk to the uncrowded beach where we almost felt like we were the only ones there. The sand was warm and the water was a tad chilly but we still loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at this small home. It is just a few minutes walk to a nice stretch of beach, although you will not find any rocks or tide pools along the shore line. It was well appointed and the kitchen had all the items needed. There was only one small ice tray, so it is good advice to stop and get some on your way to the home. We were also a little disappointed not to find even one nights worth of firewood available for the fire pit. While there is a small market within a couple miles its quite expensive. For any real shopping you need to head south to Newport or north to Lincoln City and the stretch of hwy is very congested and this trip can take some time depending on the day and time. Wifi worked, smart Tvs were nice, and beds were comfortable, although the one bathroom is a little sort on counter space. We enjoyed the backyard and the firepit. Gleneden beach is fairly isolated and you won't find any walkable shops or things to do for the most part. The home sits in a neighborhood along the beach adjacent to the Salishan Resort. All in all we enjoyed our 2 night stay, but for the price, after all the fees, it was only a moderate value.

This is an adorable home that was perfect for a spring break trip with our family and small dog. The weather wasn’t great so it was nice to have the option to watch movies, play games and put together one of their many puzzles. It would have been nice to have an ocean view, but it’s just a short walk to the beach & provided a good excuse to get out for some exercise as the weather allowed. It was nice to be outside the busy areas of Lincoln City but still within a short drive of anything we needed. The house has been nicely updated, was comfortable and has a nice fenced yard if you bring a pet. We would stay here again.

Cute house and neighborhood. Easy access to beach. Enjoyed our stay and will return. Was very happy that it was a dog friendly property. The photos show a nice clean entrance, with a white picket fence, however the property now needs a little TLC in front. A bit of paint on front steps, trellis and front fence would make a nice improvement. It would be helpful to add instructions as to locking the front door when one is leaving for a walk or a long period of time (instructions how to unlock door for entrance is very clear) Did have trouble getting shower turned on, had never seen a faucet like that before. More detailed instructions may help, especially that the water needs to be running before pulling down on end piece. We had to call maintenance to have them show us how to operate shower. Instructions for operation of TV would also be helpful. It was hit and miss to get things working. Never did figure out how the universal remote worked, but was able to watch movies with the other remote.

This cottage was great for a getaway with my sister-in-law and nieces. The quiet neighborhood has easy access to a long, wide stretch of beach that's perfect for flying kites. We were close enough to Lincoln City and the excellent new Pelican Brewing taproom & restaurant on Stiletz Bay, without being subjected to the crowding of town. The cottage is also well situated for exploring a little further down the coast--especially the aptly named Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. The upstairs of the cottage had more than enough beds for the kiddos, and the back yard was a lovely place to play and enjoy s'mores at the firepit. The folks I had occasion to speak with at Meredith lodging were always super nice and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again on a future visit to Oregon's spectacular coast.
