Lovely property, brilliant location.

Location to town and plenty of room in house. Good to have two bathrooms for a group. Room for two cars to park in front.

Few maintenance issues-one window didn't lock, broken handle on bathroom door and flickering lamp.

Good stay with friends in a great location.

The location is fantastic for walking into Stamford and great for driving to other nearby towns, we went to Rutland reservoir which was lovely. The beds were very comfy and the property was very clean on arrival. Everything was working as expected in the kitchen/bathrooms. The owner rang us within an hour of checking out to say we had left some keys which was very helpful! Thank you!

Some of the window latches are broken which meant the windows didn't shut properly - as it's on quite a busy road this meant a lot of traffic noise overnight. Also the curtains are kind of thin and let a lot of light in. Spare bin bags/dishwasher tablets/washing up sponge would be useful but we managed without.

For our family group the location was first class. It was walking distance to the town with the bars and restaurants but

Great location . Good space and comfy beds . Ideal for a group or family . Parking was a real bonus and very close to Waitrose.

Some traffic noise, but I think that was mainly due to the diversion. Fridge was not quite adequate for the accommodation. Some minor maintenance issues which the owner is now aware of.

The smell from the downstairs bathroom, traffic noise from the road, the kitchen floor was broken and the flooring from the downstairs bedroom was a hazard as the laminated floor met the carpet was raised no cover over it.

Ok for 2 nights

Location for walking into Stamford really good

Next to a very busy road. Lorries only a few feet away from you if sitting on the bench outside. Hot at night and couldn’t have windows open because of traffic noise. Curtains not very thick in the bedrooms so rooms light early in a morning

Great location but let down by a few details

We recently stayed for a weekend and found the location to be excellent – very close to Stamford with the added bonus of two dedicated parking spaces and extra parking available on the road outside, which was really convenient. Overall, we had a decent stay, but with a bit more care and maintenance, this place could be much better.

The shower itself was powerful and pleasant to use, but unfortunately the shower head looked quite dirty and could do with a good clean. The overall feel of the place gave off student accommodation vibes, which made it feel a bit basic and in need of some attention to detail. A few small touches would really improve the experience – for example, some bedrooms still don’t have blackout blinds, even though previous guests have mentioned this in reviews. The kettle also badly needs descaling.

Nice place

Excellent location with parking and even though check-in wasn't til 4pm we could park from midday to spend the day in Stamford, 5 minutes walk away, house was very clean, everything you needed in kitchen

Sofa(bed) in living room was uncomfortable and watching the TV high on the wall was neck aching, also no dressing table to sit at or put any thing on, brought a table from downstairs bedroom upstairs and a chair from dining table to sit at and do hair, makeup etc, bed was too soft for me, I prefer firm but that's just my preference, outside courtyard was very plain, just a bench table, could have been made lovely with plants etc, the house is on the corner of very busy road and very noisy, personally it didn't bother me even in the early morning but if you don't like traffic noise it wouldn't be for you! There were no personal touches, not even a pint of milk or a pack of biscuits, Having said all this it's a lovely place and would stay again

Whilst house generally clean bathrooms were not cleaned thoroughly. Dirt ingrained round taps, bottom of shower screens and on shower heads especially in downstairs bathroom was quite off putting. Very busy road next to property made using outside space unpleasant.

A very comfortable and convenient base for exploring the town and local area.

The property was very comfortable and had very good amenities. It had convenient parking in front and was well located in easy walking distance from a supermarket and quite close to the town centre.

The curtains in the downstairs bedroom need a block out lining. This would reduce the light coming in and the noise of passing cars.

Good location but there’s a lot of road noise if you are not used to it.

The double bedrooms were large and off street parking was great. We experienced problems with cleanliness and cooking facilities but the host remedied these very quickly.

Parts of the house were very clean (bedding, towels etc) but it appeared that the cleaner persistently missed certain things: the taps (thick mould at the spouts and the moving parts of all basin and bath taps); the toaster, hob and microwave all of which had a build-up of old food and grease and the frying pans and roasting tins appeared to have been used without cleaning and so food was baked in, some had rusts spots and the non-stick was also peeling off. We sent photos to the host and asked him to remedy the situation. Within a couple of hours he had the place clean and provided new pans and tins. He also offered to refund the £65 cleaning charge because it wasn’t right when we arrived. It was a shame that the house hadn’t been properly cleaned before we arrived but we couldn’t fault Gary’s response.

Was the perfect place for a lovely stay in Stamford.

House was clean and bright. Location was excellent, easy to find and just a short walk into town. House was well equipped and had a nice outdoor seating area. Water pressure in the shower was great!

Minor things, just suggestions to make someones stay better... With a dishwasher could have more plates and bowls. Need more than 1 tea towel. Cling film/tin foil would've been useful to have as wouldn't think to bring them. The fridge is very small , would be better to have a bigger fridge with a larger freezer compartment.

Pleasant

Lovely house needs a deep clean in downstairs bathroom & kitchen. Beds comfortable but pillows all hard & lumpy new ones needed. I think all it needs is a few tweaks & it would be excellent! We would definitely stay again if the house keeping gets sorted out. The cleanliness just let the property down I’m sorry to say.

Acceptable but not really that great value for money. Wouldn’t stay again

The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms themselves were very spacious. The fact there were 2 bathrooms was handy for us as well as enough parking for 2 cars.

The sofa (which was a sofa bed) was extremely uncomfortable. On the corner of a busy main road and with Supermarket wagons running through the night it was quite noisy.

Excellent central location when visiting Stamford.

It's a great location and about an 8-10 minute walk to the High Street. The flat has two floors (a double bed and two single beds upstairs and a shower/toilet) and there is another double room on the ground floor with a nice living area and kitchen and a bathtub with shower and a toilet. There is also an outside area you can enter from the kitchen. The wifi worked well. There is also parking for one car. The neighbour hood looks nice and feels safe. The host was very prompt in replying to any queries I had. I would certainly stay here again.

I can't think of anything that could have been better. When entering the flat, you do have to press the door code rather quickly, which once explained, we had no issues entering the flat.

Great location

The house was very clean, well-equipped and in a great location. Really good to have 2 parking spaces too. Having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom was a real bonus.

Great location but a few things that could be improved in the house

Great location, and the 2 double rooms were lovely.

A few things to feed back, just to help the owners really. 1) We thought the living room was very small and not that comfortable. Could do with 2 comfy sofas. 2) The kettle switch is broken so it’s very difficult to turn on 3) The dishwasher doesn’t clean very well - we had to re-wash most things 4) The shower upstairs doesn’t drain properly so your feet are swimming in water 5) The pillows in the twin room were like solid neck bending bricks! I had to put a cushion in the pillowcase instead 6) It was incredibly warm in the house, despite being a cold February day. Particularly the towel radiators in the bathrooms were on fire!! We were desperately trying to adjust the valves! We had the windows open to try to cool the place down. And I found it hard to sleep as it was just too hot.

Mixed - would recommend but needs a bit of attention to detail.

Location is great - 10 minute walk from town centre, 3 minutes from Waitrose. Bedrooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Kitchen has all appliances, inc. Dishwasher, washer, Fridge, microwave etc. Tea, Coffee, Sugar and all cleaning materials provided. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Each bed had a good quality bath towel and hand towel left on them. Hand soap and toilet rolls in bathrooms.

Unable to get hot water through any taps. Only hot water was in electric shower downstairs. This was very disappointing given we had 4 adults and an 11 month old baby staying for two days! Leaking tap in kitchen and the kettle was unusable as full of limescale. Parking is for two cars but be aware not two large cars. Manoeuvring on the drive is difficult for second car. Overall very clean but the kitchen and living area floor needed mopping - not noticeable until crawling baby stood up x Would have been useful to have access to a mop and bucket.
