This cottage is best for a couple alone. The bathroom with the shower is attached to one bedroom and the W. C. is attached to the other. The kitchen is minimalist, but functional as long as you don't want an oven. The deck is very nice affords a beautiful view. Location is very convenient to Deshaies and is fairly private despite being in a concentration of similar rentals.
The owner and the local property manager are very nice and helpful. Communication is very quick and cordial. Be ready to clean the cottage including mopping all the floors or pay 50 Euros to have it done. As it was a vacation for us, we paid rather than spend vacation time cleaning. Many places do not offer the choice. They just add the fee later.
Great food options in Deshaies with Mahina being our favorite. L'Mer mistakenly (?) added items to our bill on more than one occasion and seemed on the look out for tourists. There are other great options in town as well, especially the first place you come to and almost the last place in town called Peace & Crepes in English, but I don't recall their names in French.
