Great location and value

Lovely location, great price, comfortable, everything you need in a self contained unit.

Bathroom downstairs and towel radiator didnt seem to work so the bathroom was freezing in a morning. No replies to messages on the phone numbers given, only on booking.com email.

Pleasant apartment in a quiet part of town

A very good wee apartment, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Clean, quiet, warm, and with a good sized bed and well equipped kitchen. Good internet connection. I travelled by bus. It’s a 20 minute uphill walk from the centre of Kirriemuir, but the bus from Dundee and Forfar (Stagecoach #20) passes the end of Cairn Road; that’s not clear from the Auchentinny information details, Google Maps or the Stagecoach timetable. Contrary to the Booking.com information, the £100 security deposit is required before arrival, not on arrival.

Fitted the bill for somewhere to stay that was close to Kinnordy House and was clean and comfy

Location perfect for our visit to Kinnordy Chamber Music weekend. Lovely hot water. Good local walks. Very quiet

Key lock box had not been closed properly and was actually open on our arrival. But it was easy to operate during our stay. Could have done with a couple more mugs and a middle sized pan. Otherwise kitchen was well appointed. Found it impossible to operate the TV. It didn't matter as we were out mostly, but the breakfast news would have been nice. Better instructions would help.

Compact but very well equipped and clean.

Pillows not great and large window blind had rod missing so it was very fidgety trying to close for privacy. Would have benefited from another socket at side of bed as unable to plug one bedside lamp in.

Good Location, Great Value, Lovely Stay

This small Kirriemuir apartment was clean and comfortable, within a lovely setting. It was a beautiful location on the grounds of a larger home surrounded by trees. It feels private and isolated in the best possible way. The town centre is walkable, though it's perhaps a little farther than you may imagine. The bed was comfy and the apartment included a fan which we needed - visiting during a hot spell. Coffee and tea in the kitchen is a nice touch. All in all it was a great stay, and very reasonable. P.S. Dougal and his human friend were both charming.

Other than us having a little trouble with the blinds, all was well.

Lovely stay

Everything was perfect, the owners and the dog were lovely. It is a very quiet area, with beautiful surroundings, some suggestions by the owner in their manual guide (provided on arrival and also on prior dates). The town of Kirreiemuir is also very nice. Easy to get to many interesting points and the apartment has everything you need and it was comfy. I would love to come back again and even stay longer. Thanks for everything!

Location was good

Shower temperature wasn’t constant and went from really hot to cold during a shower and the main blind couldn’t be lowered, raised or closed.

The apartment is a wee hidden gem, and well worth a visit. We will be back again.

This is a hidden gem, 2nd time we have stayed. Slightly out of the town centre, but a 15-minute walk, the surrounding area more than makes up for it. The neighbour's wee dog is super friendly, and got on really well with our dog (to the extent our dog was looking for him as we were leaving!) The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook a meal, and it's nice to have a coffee machine, rather than simply a kettle.

Cosy and compact apartment

Great location, friendly owners. Compact but complete,everything you need for few days away. Located above owners garage with stairs leading up to apartment and kitchen, toilet downstairs so not suitable for everyone. Close enough to the town and people are very friendly. Lovely walks nearby, I would recommend seeing the waterfall and also the forest.

The carpet, it smelt of urine i think next to the bed, could smell it even above the overpowering air freshener which I had to move to the window ledge. Maybe just a personal preference but I wouldn't have carpet especially where dogs are welcome. Place has adequate heating so not needed from a heat perspective. There is a few rugs, that's enough. Wipeable flooring is so much cleaner, that's why I knocked a couple of points off, but for the price you really can't complain. I would definitely recommend.

A wee hidden Gem near Kirriemuir

Lovely, clean & comfortable little place in Northmuir just a 20 minute walk from Kirriemuir centre. Great sleep, so quiet in rural setting. Great shower downstairs with toilet. Everything you need in galley kitchen, really is a wee gem in Angus.

Gem of a property in Kirriemuir

Fabulous property, close to town centre. Has everything you need for a couple of nights and more. Comfortable bed, toilet and shower a good size and spotless. Kitchen fully equipped - even had a dishwasher!

Location perfect for getting to Kinnordy House Music Festival. Property was immaculate. Even better than last year with the provision of a bigger table.

Would 100% recommend

The location is close to a forest and a few parks for walking the dog. The property is secure for a dog. The apartment was warm and cosy, came with a fully equiped kitchen and washing machine, and a very comfortable bed. The neighbour was really friendly and his dog was just lovely. Couldn't recommend this enough. I know the area, so expected it to be rural, but the property is on the edge of the town and a 17 minute walk into the centre which has restaurants, a bakery, cafes, grocery stores, and plenty of hairdressers. Thanks!

Kirriemuir review

We were relocated to another apartment nearer to the town centre. It was great as we had taken our dog with us. We will certainly be back in the future.

Pleasant and comfortable.

The apartment was very comfortable, attractive and well equipped.

I asked for the key code to be texted to me, but on arrival I still hadn't received it. Luckily the utility room entrance was unlocked so I got in that wat with the help of the owner [Other people did the arrangement of booking] and then found they had e-mailed me the code, but of course I had no Wi-fi until I actually got into the property, so only then could I find the official key. We spoke on the phone and everything was pleasantly resolved. But other visitors need to make sure they know how they will access the keycode. I couldn't get the TV to work, though I'm sure it does!!

Cosy, warm apartment

The apartment is located above a garage separate from the main house at the location but the two properties share a drive. The flat is cosy, warm and surprisingly spacious. The WiFi is good, the shower was hot and the kitchen was equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. We were hiking in the area and cooked in the apartment so didn't see much of Kirrimuir but it seems like a nice, quiet village. We had a great stay!

Could do with a few finishing touches such as a mirror, hairdryer and a few dishwasher tablets, but this was no real issue!

Nice place perfectly suited for a single or a couple. Decent facilities, good little Kitchen. Local shop Is also good.

Sharper knifes and the tv and WiFi can be challenging. However didn’t really Impact my stay and thought overall 5 star. Good work guys!

Refund return problem

Nice apartment, very clean

On the same day of the reservation, it was asked me to transfer a 50 pounds as a safety deposit before entering the property. It was not clearly stated in the hotel description, but it was written in a small paragraph in the reservation confirmation (which I consider not very transparent). So I paid via bank transfer. Unfortunately the host did not give me a full refund after checkout, due to the fact that I have cooked some fish (two cod fillet cooked in a pan) in the kitchen and the smell was too strong for the next guest (he wrote me it was so terrible that the cleaner cannot make it go away and the other guest feels sick). I am honestly disappointed and annoyed because, in my opinion the smell was nowhere near what was described. I chose an apartment with the kitchen so I can cook my own meals and I have not damaged the property or violated any rule of the house. I had to call Booking.com to step in the negotiation. Honestly it is the first time I had an experience like that in my life and it was very stressful. I would not suggest you to choose this accomodation if you want to use the kitchen.
