Piso centro Logroño. En calle Laurel

Large shared space (combined living room and dining area). Small kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Was nice to have 3 bathrooms for a group.

It was hotter than normal (but may be new normal?) at 39°C when we arrived. Although the booking and arrival time were known well in advance, there was no preparation made for cooling down the apartment before we arrived. So we arrived in a very hot apartment and the two small AC units (living room and one bedroom) did not reduce the heat even for those two rooms until many hours later. The other 2 bedrooms continued to be very hot for our entire stay. At minimum the hosts need to 1) prepare for their guests arrival on hot days by turning on AC an hour or two before arrival, and 2) invest in more efficient fans and extension cords to enable pulling cool air into the bedrooms without AC. Note that you need to phone the host to get in the doors during check-in- easiest over WhatsApp. And communication with hosts was a bit challenging - questions required several rounds of chats without a resulting in a clear answer. I'm sure part of the problem is that we don't know Spanish.

This apartment is in an unbeatable location – you simply can't stay any closer to the city center. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is a bar on the ground floor, so you may hear some noise in the evenings and mornings (cleaning sounds, transport) and occasionally notice food smells. The apartment is very spacious, with plenty of room for a larger group. All three bathrooms worked perfectly, which was a great advantage. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, with everything you might need, including plenty of cookware, utensils, spices, and coffee for your first morning. If you are arriving by car, it's worth knowing that you can drive very close to the apartment only during the morning hours. Later in the day, vehicle access is restricted, so you'll need to walk a short distance.

The apartment could be even better if a few improvements were made. The main issue is the lack of proper air conditioning. The fans provided in the bedrooms are unfortunately not enough during hot weather. There is only one effective air conditioner in the living room, but when the outside temperature is above 30°C, it is not sufficient to cool the entire apartment. Another thing that could use some attention is the dining chairs in the living room. They are quite unstable and would benefit from being repaired or replaced. Addressing these two issues would make the apartment much more comfortable, especially during the summer months.
