In the heart of Southern Brittany's beautiful countryside rest Vine, Bamboo and Wisteria Cottages. They are converted from a Breton longere and are part of a small hamlet called Hevedic (meaning Little Sanctuary in Breton). Situated within a conservation area, the peace and tranquility has hardly changed since the reign of Louis XIV. These beautiful stone cottages have breathtaking vaulted ceilings, highlighting wonderful beams and Vine and Wisteria Cottages each have a huge Breton fireplace at its heart. Discover at your leisure 1 acre garden complete with wood burning hot tub, a potager full of flowers, herbs and vegetables and many hidden corners to sit and relax. Hevedic Wood has many paths leading to the Blavet river and the small town of Quistinic can be reached this way if you do not wish to drive. A cycle/footpath runs beside the river passing through towns and hamlets to the coast in one direction or Pontivy in the other. This area is perfect for mountain biking, road cycling, trail running, kayaking and walking. Poul Fetan, the 16th Century Village of French Culture is 5 minutes walk away and makes for a perfect day out with costumed hosts re-inacting life here in the past and a tavern selling local ciders and beers and Breton meals. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room fitted with a vanity sink unit with lighting and power point and WC. A twin bedroom has separate shower, vanity sink unit with power point and WC. Both bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. The lounge has a feature Breton fireplace with wood burning stove that heats radiators throughout the property, two sofas and a coffee table. English satellite television is provided, as is French TV. There is also a selection of books and games. Fully fitted kitchen/dining area has modern units with plenty of work surfaces, a built in oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, cafetiere, ironing board and iron. There is a pine dining table and four chairs. High quality bed linen, fluffy towels and luxurious robes are provided.

Four adults stayed at Wisteria Cottage and it was perfect. The hosts are British and the levels of cleanliness were excellent. We used the hot tub on both nights of our stay and the garden was available for our use too. The hosts left freshly baked bread, eggs and cidre for us in the welcome basket as well as butter and cheese in the fridge. Everything was well thought out, cleaning items were on hand and extra teabags were given to us as well which was so kind. Towels for showering and separate towels and robes for the hot tub were provided and there was plenty of information about what to do in the area. We would have loved to have stayed longer and highly recommend if you’re considering going. Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your truly wonderful gite.

Gorgeous gite cottage in a beautiful setting. Linda and Dave could not have been more helpful and accommodating and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Wisteria cottage was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The gardens are gorgeous and the hot tub was a great treat! Good location for exploring this region of Brittany. Loved Vannes, Josselin and 10 year old daughter (and her parents) really enjoyed Kingoland! The elderly Felix the Cat was great company too! Overall a wonderful holiday was had by all. Big thanks again to Linda and Dave! Would not hesitate to recommend Wisteria Cottage, its hosts and this gorgeous part of France.

We spent a week here end of august 2022 and had a wonderful week exploring southern Brittany.
The hosts David and Linda were excellent. Plenty of helpful information and nothing was too much trouble. Even supplying a hoover to empty half the beach out of the car.
Wisteria Cottage is one of three extremely well equipped holiday cottages, each with wonderful character and charm. The cottage is spacious with 2 good size bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. Outside the front faces south and is sheltered from any breeze.
The hosts set up badminton, table tennis and sun loungers around the gardens and grounds. There is even a log fired hot tub.
We would not hesitate to stay here again and would heartily recommend to family and friends.
At night only the crickets and owls can be heard, the location is perfect to escape a busy working life.
Thank you David and Linda for a most enjoyable holiday.

Great stay
Really beautiful cottage with everything you need and more- fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, fireplace, and even plastic glasses for the hot tub. The garden is lovely and peaceful with plenty of secluded areas to sit and a nice hot tub.
There is a welcome basket on arrival and loads of information about the property and things to do. Dave and Linda are very friendly, helpful and accomadating.
I would definitely recommend this gite and hope to stay again

A wonderful and relaxing holiday
We had a wonderful stay at Wisteria Cottage. The location is very peaceful and is great for getting away from it all but within a fairly short drive of the coast and some lovely towns and villages. A great place to relax, enjoy BBQ's in the large gardens and soak in the wood fired hot tub. The river blavet is close by and is great for walks and cycling. We made good use of the bikes that were available and enjoyed kayaking on the river. Linda and David were very welcoming and provided many useful tips to make the most of our holiday . Thank you for a great family holiday and we hope to return again soon.

Beautiful cottage in a superb location!
Linda and David were the perfect hosts, made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived! The property is all you could ask for and more, with a lovely welcome pack of supplies and Linda’s home made goodies! Plenty to do in the area but plenty to do at the property if you stay in! A real home from home place with everything thought of to make your stay wonderful! Thank you

It would be hard to exaggerate what an excellent property this is for a get-away-from-it-all holiday. It is a beautiful cottage, and no creature comforts have been overlooked, from the comfortable furniture to the luxurious fluffy towels and robes or the welcome hamper of home made bread and jam, eggs laid by the owners own hens, biscuits and other treats. The situation is idyllic, in a location which is both peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub is wonderful on a cool evening. But most of all the friendly and informative attention of the owners, whose knowledge of the area is encyclopaedic, and for whom nothing is too much trouble made this a truly memorable stay. Im already looking at my diary to see when I can come back.

Family holiday
We had an excellent week at Wisteria Cottage. David was away doing a mammoth cycle trek when we arrived, Linda was a perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble.
We loved the hot tub and had a bbq most nights in the fantastic garden.
Spent a great day at Poul Foutan, well worth a visit and just popped back for lunch before returning to enjoy the afternoon demonstrations.
On David’s return it was great to hear about his travel from Devon to Quistinic by bike.
Would love to return as we love cycling and his knowledge of the local area was great.
Thankyou both for such a welcoming cottage and holiday

Well equipped and comfortable cottage in beautiful countryside. Attentive and helpful hosts.
Really enjoyed our stay in Wisteria Cottage. Well equipped and comfortable cottage - everything you need and up to date local information including maps. Garden gives secluded sitting out areas and a great wood burner hot tub. Local area is fantastic for road cycling. This part of Brittany is one big cycling park; quite lanes, interesting villages and towns, rural countryside and ... hills! Famous tdf climb at Mur de Bretagne can be included in a 60 mile loop. Local racing calendar is busy and we enjoyed seeing a local event. David and Linda were attentive hosts and couldn't do enough to help us get the most out of our stay.

Our second stay at the cottage and just as enjoyable. Beautiful quiet surroundings and a fantastic garden. The weather allowed us to enjoy the facilities and we had a chilled out time for 2 weeks. David and Linda were as welcoming as ever. Thank you!

Perfect in every detail
The Gites are immaculately maintained and are situated in a perfect location to immerse yourself in total tranquillity as well as varied sightseeing.
The owners Dave & Linda are on site, friendly with lots of ideas to fill the days without being imposing.
The welcome basket is overly generous and a great start before the main holiday shop.
We stayed in Wysteria gite this year which is a two bedroom, two bathroom with a wood burning fire in the lounge.
The kitchen has all the facilities required to cook family meals with a spacious dining table. The lounge has two settees for end of day relaxing, sky box, dvd's and a bookcase full to the brim.
Upstairs the bedrooms are tastefully decorated, fluffy towels and robes with the addition of beach towels for use with the wood fired hot tub (perfect for relaxing under the stars)
The bedding is of high quality cotton, beds are very comfortable. Skylights in the bedrooms enabling you to look at the stars from the comfort of the bed.
The gites are perfectly situated in the countryside, a few minutes walk takes you to woodland and riverside walks. Also being within easy reach of Quistinic and Baud.
There are so many sightseeing options just a short drive away to suit all tastes.
The gites have plenty of maps and day trip ideas in the information booklet provided.
We visited last year for 1 week staying in the 1 bedroom Vine gite. We chose to return this year staying in the 2 bedroom Wysteria gite sharing the first week with friends.
We are already planning a return visit next year.
I cannot recommend these gites highly enough. Perfect for couples as well as family & friends. The Vine Cottage & Wysteria can be opened up via an adjoining door for larger groups.
The garden as well as being large and beautiful has a vegetable plot, a chicken coup which includes a few ducks as well.
The gites are located a few minutes to Poul Fetan which is a medieval village museum which makes for a perfect day out just a 5 minute walk away.
You will find these gites booked either individually or as a group to be a perfect home from home.

Absolutely perfect!
On arrival at Wisteria Cottage we were enchanted by the ambience of the setting and residence. Linda & David had every angle covered; the log fire was lit for a cosy feel... And more... Every comfort was covered, from a delicious and practical welcome pack to towels, toilet rolls and beyond. On our first evening David offered to take and pick us up for a meal at the 'Blanc Cheval,' - which was ,amazing.(Linda booked us in :) ) I have to mention the hot tub...WOW - what an astral experience; stars, candles and atmosphere galore. I almost feel reluctant at sharing how special our time was at Wisteria Cottage, because if I can't get my booking as you have got in before me I will spit! Jo, Drew& Hats :) :) :) :) :) five smiles

Breton Country Paradise.
We stayed in Wisteria Cottage for a week with another couple. Linda and David gave us such a wonderful warm welcome on our arrival making us feel immediately at home. They really took hosting to a different level, although respecting our privacy they were never far away for all our needs and a friendly chat! The cottages have been recently, beautifully, restored to a very high standard with an exquisite cozy feel and all your home comforts. As we entered the cottage another lovely touch was a wonderfully stacked welcome hamper provided by Linda and David with some essentials and so much more! The countryside surrounding the cottage is stunning with woodland walks taking in amazing views of the river as it meanders through the valley and local restaurants and waterside cafe again within walking distance. The night sky is breath taking with shooting stars and what better way to enjoy it than relaxing back in the naturally wood fired hot tub after your days excursions. If you want to explore further afield the cottages are also well placed to drive to picturesque medieval towns such as Josslin and Vannes. To Linda and David we would like to thank you both again for making our holiday truly memorable! To those wanting the most perfect Breton Break look no further then Wisteria / Vine Cottages!!!

A perfect place to stay
Wisteria Cottage is a perfect place to stay if you want a peaceful and quiet holiday. It is tucked away in a very small village and has been beautifully restored with modern facilities and equipment. It is very clean, well-maintained, and spacious, and easily accommodates 4 people. The owners who live nearby are helpful and available without being intrusive. We hope to return one day so would thoroughly recommend this to friends and relatives.
There are plenty of places to visit nearby, but it's definitely worth going to see the Domaine de Kerguehennec (chateau with sculptures in the grounds), the Abbe de Bon Repos, the chateau at Josselin (which is breathtaking when viewed from the river), the Citadel at Port Louis, the church and memorial at St Anne D'Auray, and Saint-Gustan. A real must is Poul Fetan which is right on the doorstep and you can buy bread and delicious pastries there. The area itself is rural and very pretty, and Quistinic is a picturesque village where you can buy croissants and baguettes.

Our stay at Wisteria Cottage
We spent a wonderful two weeks in Wisteria Cottage. It is a lovely place, spotlessly clean, so well equipped and beautifully renovated. The owners, Caz and Ron Munro, were exceptionally kind and helpful especially when an emergency dental appointment was needed! They made us so welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Nevedic is a delightful hamlet, so peaceful, with the interesting Poul Fetan museum nearby which is so well worth a visit. Not far away Pont Augan with its wonderful walks along the Blavet river where we spent so many happy hours appreciating the peace and tranquillity. For us it was a perfect fortnight in a perfect gite and one we would recommend to anyone wanting to hoiiday in rural Southern Brittany.

Wisteria Cottage
I am pleased to be able to write a review about the very comfortable and nicely furnished Wisteria Cottage. We were 4 adults and found the cottage very spacious, well equipped and very clean and easy to maintain. The beds are very comfortable. There is a large pretty garden to relax in. The owners are a charming couple, really helpful and very friendly. There is so much to see and do in the area and wonderful restaurants to eat in. The journey to and from St Malo was a very easy drive. We have recommended the property to friends.

Sunny March in Brittany
Came up to Brittany for a holiday following my son's wedding in Fontenay le Comte and couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time. We started off by getting lost in a un-signposted traffic diversion but a quick phone call had Ron coming out to find us and escort us in. The cottage was everything, and more, we could have asked for and Caz and Ron were very welcoming even furnishing us with wine, bread and cheese. The countryside and nearby towns and villages gave us plenty to do and see but the cottage was a very nice place to be for when we felt lazy.

A lovely holiday
We have been to Brittany severaal times before but this was our first visit to Nevedic. Wisteria Cottage was, by far, the best gite we have stayed in.
The Chez Munro cottages are in a very small hamlet at the end of a country lane. Beyond that are woodland walks down to the river Blavet. You can also walk forever along the towpath next to the river. From Nevedic it takes no time to get to the South coast or to interesting towns like Josselin or Hennebont (great markets on Saturday and Thursday respectively).
The cottage is roomy, very well equipped, attractive and immaculately clean. Caz and Ron are a cheerful, helpful and sociable pair and you soon feel that you have known them for years.
We have absolutely nothing negative to say. It was a great holiday.

Stunning as always
My husband and I have visited Caz & Ron at Munro Brittany Cottages a number of times. Every visit is fantastic.
The Gites have everything you could want and more.
The location is ideal to explore the local area, from walks, cycling, local markets, beaches or just to sit in the lovely garden with a good book. This place provides it all.
Caz & Ron are so welcoming and helpful. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
Its hard to find words to sum up this little piece of heaven!!
Thank you once again for our stay.

Fabulous France
What can I say Caz and Ron do an amazing job , they are helpful and nothing is too much trouble, from booking a restaurant to filling the hot -tub. The cottages are charming and full of character ,airy and bright. They are an ideal base for exploring the area and the scenery is breathtaking . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend the cottage to friends and family in a shot.
