Apartment Sorrento Sunrise

Positives: clean and modern, close to everything we needed, comfortable beds, excellent!! overview at checkin, spacious, easy to find. Downside: quiet neighborhood but a barking dog in the building that barked every night past 10 pm, we had trouble with key, reached out to the host who took several hours to respond, one one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, plan to buy your own if you are staying more than a couple days, written instructions would have been helpful, not a lot of special amenities we’ve had at other rentals.

We spent 23 nights. The kitchen had basics, a few basics missing, kitchen knife, bread knife and cheese grater. There was a cutting board but no knives to cut large pieces of meat, bread or cheese (disappointed we had to spend 45euro to buy these). Most travelers don’t travel with knives, apt with kitchen should have these. Couple other areas for improvement, apt water went cold one day, owner came at 9:30pn to replace aerators on every faucet, shower head etc and then hot water worked. Since it’s a known issue, keep extra in the apt. Another water issue, taking Sat evening shower after a day at beach club, water went ice cold again. Contacted mgr, no response then contacted owner. Waiting for response from owner mgr says the owner is downstairs and the gas is working but she says the gas isn’t what heats the water. Well, the gas tanks are located inside the apt so not sure how anyone would know if it was or wasn’t working or empty tanks? Turns out owner wasn’t downstairs, owner finally responded with “it’s too late, gas business is closed, you should have told me earlier”. We didn’t know earlier, don’t turn this on your renter. Easy fix, keep an extra tank on hand so you can get your renter hot water when tanks empty. Gas guy did come sun am, but still keep spare tank on hand. Apt is in a building with ft residents/families. Apt is next to a late night event venue, loud music when rented. This should be disclosed

This is a beautiful apartment in Sorrento’s historic center. It is spacious, nicely decorated, and appointed with all the necessary amenities. The only drawback is that since taxis are not allowed to enter the historic center, you have to walk and roll your suitcases for about 5 minutes to reach the apartment. This was not a major issue for us and we would definitely return to this property.

The property was as pictured. Guliana was great to deal with. It’s in a wonderful location and has everything you need for a perfect stay in Sorrento.
