Ground Floor: Full kitchen with casual dining & living area with Smart TV, air‑con & wood burner; games room with pool table, table tennis & darts; washroom (dryer/washer); formal living room with wood fireplace; formal dining for 12; downstairs guest toilet.
Upper Level: Five bedrooms (four with ensuites) with luxury linen & Sleepyhead king beds; reading area.
The Grounds: Large outside deck with seating and pergola; heated seasonal saltwater pool; spa; pétanque court; natural unfenced pond; landscaped gardens.
Miscellaneous: Climate control via heat pump, fans & radiators; pod coffee machine; Bluetooth speakers; complimentary limited consumables; iron/hairdryer; type 2 EV charging available (extra charge).
Direct booking price guide: Direct booking price guide: Two‑night weekends typically $1,250–$2,000 per night*, varying by season. Additional charges apply for events. *Damage deposit required for all house bookings.

Lismore house and the immediate surrounds shown in the welcome guide. The vineyard is actively managed and not appropriate for roaming.
The Neighborhood:
Martinborough is famous for its 20-odd vineyards, most within walking or cycling distance of the village square. It's also packed with colonial charm, and criss-crossed with walking and cycle tracks to explore
Getting Around:
Jump on State Highway 2 for a direct, scenic drive up through the Remutaka Pass and down into the Wairarapa plains. It's 1hr 10 to Featherston. Add another 15 min for Greytown or Martinborough, or 20 min for Carterton or Masterton. Check conditions on the Remutaka Pass on web cam.
From Wellington by train: Sit back and gaze at the scenery - you'll be in Wairarapa in an hour.
Other Things to Note:
We only accept bookings for weddings and parties directly due to insurance purposes.
We have a natural unfenced pond close the property.
Each guest needs to sign a H&S & contact tracing document prior to entering the premises.
Lismore is a functional vineyard and due care is required.
Heated pool is open seasonally
EV charger is at $15 per day and needs to be booked in advance.

The estate manager lives just down the road but will leave you be during your stay with us.

This is a very special place to stay. Lovely tranquil outlook over the vines. Lots of space and comfort but nooks and crannies for a big crowd to spread out. We had the loveliest weekend here. Outside & swimming when the sun shone, then a lovely open fire in the cooler evening. Dan was really responsive, proactively dropping something off in the letterbox to fix a minor problem! Highly recommended.

Our big family were getting together for a girls weekend and this property was amazing! There were 12 of us and we fit very comfortably. The place was absolutely beautiful and we made good use of the pool and spa. Dan was fab at communicating with us before and during the trip, too! Definitely recommend staying here!

This property was fantastic !! We were an extended family group of 12 from the moment we drove up the tree lined driveway we felt relaxed. The house was so well set out and up we had everything we needed the beds were so comfortable everybody had so much fun in the pool and the games room.My favourite part was waking up to the stunning view getting myself a coffee and sitting on the deck as the sun came up over the vineyard while all sorts of birds strutted around and the rabbits hopped amongst the vines. I could not have had a better break and would love to come back Thank you so much
