Hot water was not so hot

This is a lovely house for three, with two bathrooms, one of which even had a bathtub. Our host was immensely kind and attentive, even bringing us breakfast for no extra charge, despite this not being part of the deal. He speaks Romanian, German, and a little English as well. He also drove us to the nearby monastery in Barsana for the Easter Vigil at midnight, which was a very special experience. The next day, we were able to take a lovely walk through the hills and valleys, taking in the UNESCO wooden church in Ieud, and ending up in Vişeu where we were able to take the train back to Sighet and Cluj.

The one issue is the location identification. Despite the written address stating that it’s in Rosavlea, where it indeed is located, when you asking booking.com to show you the location in puts the pin down in Barsana, 10km to the West. This was also confirmed as correct over messenger before the trip. Though Rosavlea was ultimately a better place to stay, having the wrong location written did cause us some confusion, especially as we were on a walking holiday, and thus quite sensitive to distance and location. All’s well that ends well, though I must flag the location issue as a blip on an otherwise excellent stay.
