Luxury Condo on its Own Private Island on Lake Travis

Check-In email did not have all info. needed, like the code to get in gate. Room had animal hair everywhere, Pool/ Jacuzzi had to much chlorine in it and back bedroom did not have a tv in it.

The best place to stay in Lago Vista! Everything wonderful!!! I wanna come back as soon as possible!!!

This place is perfect just to get away from the everyday routines.

My husband and I were so excited to spend our anniversary weekend away from home, the property listing was all we were looking for for our special weekend. Upon entering there was a funky smell, as I do every time we stay away from home, I pulled down the covers on the bed to check for cleanliness and bed bugs, the sheets had not be cleaned or washed at all, there was pretzels, peanut m&ms, looked like someone had picked their nose and wiped it on the sheets, I immediately took pictures and called the property owner, she didn’t answer but called me back, while I was on the phone with her a bug came out of the sheet and I took a picture of that, as if the gross bed wasn’t it bad enough the floors had not been swept, the bathroom toilet had hair all over it and the bathtub was disgusting. I took pictures and sent them to the property owner. I paid a cleaning deposit but ended up washing the sheets, wiping down the bathroom, kitchen and sweeping and vacuuming, there is also spider webs in the bedroom with all kinds of bugs dead in them. We were so disappointed as we had plans for the afternoon but ended up having to clean so we had a place to sleep, it was too late to get another place to stay and we didn’t have the money to do so either and we live four hours away. The property owner said she would give us the cleaning deposit back which hasn’t been returned, we really feel like we should get a refund for the crap we had to deal with… renter beware

Relaxing

It’s a nice condo. I would say the only issue we had was the AC went out 2 times which might have been a power issue on the island itself. Other than that, we had a great time.

Condo is very nice, restaurant (under new ownership) very good. Lake is very low, so you’re not in an island but have a view of the water on one side. Friendly deer roam the property freely and give it a nice ambiance.

We enjoyed the condo. The location was central in the complex. It was next to the restaurant and close to elevator to go down to pools and parking. Parking space was close to elevator. Condo was very clean. Perhaps more instruction could be placed by remotes for tv but we figured it out eventually. The condo was nicely equipped. Liquid hand soap was provided by the lavatory in the bathroom but you might wish to bring your favorite body wash or soap. The fitness center and indoor pool/ hot tub are great amenity the complex offers. Staff does work to keep pools maintained well. This is not a new complex but offers much with panoramic views of Lake Travis.

We had a good time, not everything was perfect but overall nice. The good: it was nice and clean ans the instructions were easy to follow. The not so good: the couch was broken and half of the lights didnt work

Beautiful property. Deer everywhere. The condo had everything I needed and was very nice. The Island is lovely and you do not have to worry about other people. It seems empty. Only a few people live there. Two days I saw no people, just deer. The lake is right out of the patio. No houses across the lake. just a state park.

I enjoyed the stay with my partner and dog. The condo was nice and had a great view of the lake and hills.

The good: The location is right on Colorado river/ Lake. Good view. The property is clean and was adequate for the 4 of us. It had everything needed including dishwasher, washer dryer, utensils, pots/pans, beddings etc. needed. The property amenities, 3 pools, hot tubs, gym, sauna, etc. were also good and we used them. The board games at the apartment were also of help. The restroom was clean. There were deer close to the property and they did not run away as we drew near. That was a wonderful experience. I wish we had gone when the temperature was not over a 100 degrees each day, but coupled with the Texas game the timing worked for us. The property manager Jennifer was very responsive and frankly saved the day. So-so: The balcony had lots of cobwebs and could have used a bit of cleaning, but at least the outside couch was covered and there was a fan. The pull out couch did not work, this would have been a negative, except the provided air mattress worked really well and ended up being comfortable for our kids. Not so good: We did not get the email from VRBO with the entry gate code. The front gate lady would not let us in and was adamant about us getting the code from the owner. We had gotten an email with the check in process but it had the parking spot number and apartment door code... but no apartment number, outside gate code, etc. After a long day, it was not ideal to have to go through this with a tired family. So check for the code!

Even though the listing states that high touch surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant, this clearly is not the case. The place needs a GOOD cleaning. The stove burners and cookware need replacing. The location is beautiful. The bed is very comfortable.

Checkin: we were not sent any information about how to get on to the property (gate code) unit or parking number etc. just door key code and owners phone number in case there were issues. Apparently this is a VRBO task so out of control of the owner but that is how we started Property: overall the property as a whole on the island is in some disrepair, fountains not working, dirty etc. the restaurant was not open at all while there despite the signs that said the open hours. They said they were up late and stayed open the night before we arrived, but planned to open the next day. They weren’t. it’s not quick to get back to Lago vista for a restaurant. Overall the property felt pretty empty, especially for a Long weekend. The unit was not clean. The furniture was visibly dirty, the walls the same, but the floors were swept etc. sheets were clean. We did find some rotten fruit behind a table that the cleaners had missed and we could smell. The outdoor furniture looked like a dog covered in mud had slept on it. Just all around the place needs a very good clean. The owners were responsive and helped where they could. We had no problems with them, just the unit and even more so the property could use some work

Pleasant peaceful condo, beautiful views, lovely decor, good accommodations. Indoor pool was a joy for our visiting grandkids. Loved the ever—present deer. WiFi relationship with Roku TV was problematic, so we ran a hotspot.

The condo was beautiful, the view from the bedroom balcony couldn't be beat. The 2 outdoor pools also had spectacular views. Make sure you get ALL the check in info will in advance. The property manager saved us and was very responsive. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates and utensils. I would return.

Overall it was a pleasant stay, beautiful view, and easy access to the pools and spa. The deer outside was a nice surprise and the villa is actually very large for a one bedroom one bath. Only negatives would be the low shower head and the water shut off on us the last day, but that was out of the owners control.

Nice view, Gated, Assigned Parking under the building. If you love the hill country this is a great way to experience it.

Overall love it manager wasn’t hard to reach she responded quick I’m telling family and friends about this place.

A beautiful view, very quiet, easy access. Super comfy and with everything one can need and more.

It was me and my 2 sons. A great relaxing time. Boys had a great time at the lake and the pools/hot tubs. Just nice to get a way and enjoy time together.

The property was amazing and would definitely come back just for that. The condo also was nice however wasn’t the cleanest. The toilet was dirty and floors not swept. The balcony was full of spiders. The washer and dryer looked like it was going to fall outbid the closet and the stove was hard to cook on. All of the eyes of the stove were not sitting properly.

The condo was very acomadating, loved having washer/dryer. Maintenance could have been better. Had a bad order when we got there. We did a lot of airing out. There was water left in the dishwasher so might have come from that. Some bulbs were out. Dried arrangements were covered in dust and dirt in corners. Could have been cleaner but we enjoyed our stay.

We had a problem getting through the gate our first time but called the manager and she let us in. There were 2 days of our stay the water was shut off in the whole complex. We had to contact the manager to get information about this. There was very little information in the condo about the complex and who to contact if there were problems. The condo was nice and worked for our stay.

We arrived for check in at 5pm. Unit was supposed to be available for check in at 3pm. When we arrived the unit had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. There were dirty sheets on the floor, dirty towels in the bathroom and nothing cleaned. Contacted the owners and explained the situation. She stated previous occupants checked out on Tuesday. We checked in on Friday. She was willing to have cleaning lady come on Saturday to clean for us or we could clean the unit ourselves and be compensated the cleaning fee. After driving 4 hours to get there and no other options be opted to clean the condo. Not an ideal start to a romantic weekend. The unit apparently has not been deep cleaned in a while. Ceilings are covered in dust and dust was coming out of the vents. Window ledges were dirty with dead bugs etc. Once cleaned, the unit was nice and would have had a great review. The actual property surrounding the condo was beautiful so we tried to make the most of it.

The apartment was well stocked and clean, with a great view of the lake.

The property was very nice, pics didn't do it justice. Quiet complex and beautiful surroundings. Just the weekend getaway we needed.
