Alles was top, restaurants was geweldig

Everything about the resort was amazing! We were escorted to the villa and checked in quickly and easily. The manager was so helpful and approachable, with excellent recommendations and answers.

I wish we could have stayed longer

Amazing all round, the villa was immaculate staff both for the hotel and restaurant were also very helpful. Overall a really beautiful place to relax on a great island.

Maybe some ant repellent at the doors if I was being very picky.

The resort picked us upon arrival and did check-in in our villa, which was convenient. The villa was large and had a good view on to the beach and ocean. The plunge pool was nice to have. There are a few good restaurants around, and the restaurant at the beach is decent. The beef Khao Soi is recommended.

The grounds were under-developed. Well defined walkways with shrubs and flowers would have helped. One did not have any sense of luxury being there. Toilets at the restaurant and pool did not meet any international standard; they felt more like outhouses. The villas were passable, but again felt more like an standard apartment in any European town, nothing luxurious or specifically Thai about them at all. One is paying only for the plunge pool on the terrace, which is nice. But if not planning to use the plunge pool often (we didn't), then one can get far better value at other places on Ko Yao Yai, or indeed other islands. We were there during off-season (May) so there was no breakfast buffet, only ordering from a paper menu. When generous buffets are the standard for resorts of this price range, it was disappointing to only have a few items which which to choose. The tides here are large, making swimming during large parts of the day not possible, although walks along the sands/mud tidal flats were an interesting alternative.
