About this villa rental
Villa Galene is an elegant and welcoming two-story villa located in the center of Positano. It sleeps six people. From Villa Galene you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the coastline. Villa Galene is 250 square meters (2690 square feet). It features a panoramic private terrace, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the center of Positano, where you will find restaurants, shops, the stop for the SITA bus and for the local bus, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the closest beach (Spiaggia Grande di Positano) at roughly 500 meters (550 yards). You will reach Villa Galene from the street level going down a route that includes approximately 35 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Galene. If you do have one, you will be able to park it nearby, for a fee, in a public parking lot (being the lot a public one, parking spaces can not be reserved).
Villa Galene is tended by a maid, who resides in a room on a mezzanine level located between the top level and the bottom level.
Villa Galene is not recommended for children under 8, because of a terrace with a low railings that can be climbed over.
Please kindly note. The rental price includes: daily cleaning; towels, changed mid-week; electricity; linens (changed mid-week for weekly stays). To be paid at the property:cleaning EUR 100.00 per week. Tourist tax, paid locally: From April 1 to October 31: EUR 2.50 per person per night. Guests aged under 10 are exempt. Refundable security deposit paid cash upon arrival: EUR 500 (it is returned to you at check-out).
Terrace
The terrace is 50 square meters (540 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a perfumed bougainvillea pergola and by a characteristic pergola with a bamboo roof. It is equipped with tables and chairs. Here you will find also a washing machine (hidden in a cabinet), an iron and an ironing board at your disposal. From the terrace you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea, of Positano and of the Amalfi Coast.
Garden
The garden is 100 square meters (1076 square feet). It is partly shaded by a characteristic bougainvillea pergola. It is equipped with tables, chairs and sun loungers. Here you will also find a portable barbecue. From the garden you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and of Positano.
Top LevelLiving Room 1
The first living room is paved with tiles with inlaid designs. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are elegant and welcoming, featuring some antique pieces, and include two sofas. The dining table can accommodate eight guests. In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter a balcony with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The room also has a window with a view of the sea. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Kitchen 1
You will be able to enter the first kitchen through a corridor. It is equipped with a three-burner gas cooker and one electric burner, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, an Italian-style coffee-maker and a kettle. The kitchen has no windows.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the first living room. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include two armchairs. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, tiled with lucid green majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bathtub with shower wand and a hairdryer.
Bedroom 2 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). The furnishings include a bedroom chair. The room has a window, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, tiled with lucid blue majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
Bottom LevelLiving Room 2
The second living room is paved with tiles with inlaid designs. The ceiling is high and vaulted. From the dining room you will be able to enter the garden with a view of the sea and of the coastline through two French doors. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Kitchen 2
You will be able to enter the second kitchen from the dining room. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker and a kettle. The dining table can accommodate four guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the garden.

This suite is made up by three interconnected rooms: a sleeping area, a sitting area and a bathroom. You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the second living room. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). There is a fireplace made of bricks. The furnishings include a small sofa and two armchairs. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the garden through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, tiled with lucid sea green majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a shower and a hairdryer.
