Took my dog, Huckleberry for his last time of doing his favorite activity - swimming, after his cancer diagnosis, chemo and leg amputation. Glory was amazingly accommodating, kind and respectful of space. Only issue was a unknown hornets nest and Glory risked her safety to remove the nest! The only noise was loons and mosquitoes. Sunset was as incredible as the sunrise. It’s a little piece of heaven. Thank you Glory and family!

We used this mainly as a place to stay at night as we traveled north to Duluth and the NorthShore during the day. It was exactly as described and it worked perfect for what we used it for. I also took the canoe out and caught some northerns on the beautiful private lake.

The inside of the cabin was nice and clean, but we didn't spend much time outside of the cabin because there was very little upkeep to the property. There was weeds and high grass where there is space to plant flowers, which would improve the appearance and make it a more welcoming experience. The water pipes make a rather loud noise when the other cabin used running water, but thankfully this didn't happen during night hours. It was quiet and peaceful. We only saw the owner when we arrived, but was available if we needed anything. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and felt like we were sleeping on an air mattress. The canoe and paddles were available for us to use, but we didn't bring our own life jackets because we have no reason to own any because we don't have a boat or jet ski, etc. It does state in the rental to bring life jackets, but in our situation it would've been nice to have some available to borrow for the short time we needed them. It is definitely more for couples and not families as there is only one bed. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, but won't come back . I would, however, consider renting the other cabin on the property.
