Horseshoe Haven is a recently refreshed mountain cabin located in the gated community of Powder Horn Mountain. This charming home offers a peaceful wooded setting, beautiful views, and easy access to both outdoor activities and community amenities.
With two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, this home is ideal for couples or small families looking for a relaxing High Country getaway.
Sleeping Arrangements
Primary bedroom with king bed, private bathroom, and mountain views
Second bedroom with one twin bed and one set of bunk beds
Second full bathroom
The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils, and essentials for preparing meals at home. Coffee maker is auto drip.
Additional features include:
Wood-burning fireplace (please bring your own firewood)
Screened porch with seating and propane grill
High-speed fiber internet
Linens and bath towels provided

We enjoyed the the clean and updated living arrangements. We hiked with my pup on the trails in the resort. We visited Boone one day for shopping and dining at the Daniel Boone Restaurant. (Which was outstanding) We visited Blowing Rock for shopping and ice cream. We fixed the rest of our meals at the cabin, the kitchen had all utensils we needed.We played games at the dining table. We watched movies in the comfortable living room. We enjoyed early morning coffee and gorgeous sunrises on the screened-in porch. We had hot chocolate at night and looked at the stars. (Again on the screened in porch) Our mountain stay was everything and more than we could have asked for. I loved how my dog thought he was in heaven going on his first hikes. We all would highly recommend Horseshoe Haven. It met and exceeded all our expectations. Yes I would go back.

When the sun came up we could not believe the view we had. This place is simply gorgeous and Susan is an amazing host. Get ready to have some peace and quiet and don't forget your meat and veggies for grilling. The gas grill works great.

The kitchen had all dishes to cook, grill tools, tinfoil, bags, basic seasonings. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was very clean. There were dish and laundry pods provided, as well as paper towels and toilet paper. As the closest store is 25 minutes away, this was very nice to not have to purchase these things. There were space heaters provided for extra warmth, throw blankets for the couches, plenty of towels, games, dvds, a Roku TV. It was a great experience for my family and my dog. There were doggie bags, a leash, and a flashlight provided as well. Wood for the fireplace was provided, however it did not burn so I would suggest bringing your own. The views are amazing and the enclosed patio is great for early mornings or grilling.
