It’s a real gem

We spent 2 nights at Michel's La Puisatiere, we are absolutely satisfied. Clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet. Following Michel's fantastic travel recommendations, we had a great trip. We would come back anytime, hopefully soon. Thanks Michel :)

A little paradise, a tranquil gem

The beauty and tranquility of the location. The super host, Michel, for whom nothing was too much trouble and ensured my friend, a dependent wheelchair user, could access all facilities too. The high quality build and comfort of the spacious studios. The little touches - milk, condiments, local specialist biscuits and even a seasonal easter egg welcomed us along with Michel’s beaming smile and, of course, ‘Nahico’, his canine assistant host, a little friendly dog who loves to welcome you too. The beautiful location, just 10 mins from shops, stunning beaches and in the heart of stunning Cotentin, ideally situated for touring this incredible region . Yet you can return after a busy day touring to your own little paradise in tranquil surroundings and complete your day with aperitifs in one of the two spacious verandahs seranaded by an orchestra of birdsong (some quite rare). Or maybe visit one of the many restaurants a short drive away. Michel provides a comprehensive guide in several languages for places of interests, tour itineraries and eateries. Later gaze into the clear, star-filled skies before retiring to sleep in the complete serenity of the countryside. A perfect paradise which I cannot wait to return to, already planning another visit later this year! I have been visiting Cotentin region for 23 years snd this is by far the best vacation home I have ever experienced.

The property is in a very quiet location. It is modern, very clean and up together. Michel the owner was very friendly and helpful. Communication with Michel before arrival was very effective.

Kitchen was small and difficult to prepare a meal. Sound proofing was inadequate as we could here the owner and his friends in the adjoining building sometimes late into the evening. Lack of storage for clothes as wardrobe was filled with vacuum cleaner, brooms etc

An ocean of peaceful green calm in a well thought out and welcoming studio

The location was wonderful and peaceful and very green. The studio had a large and pleasant garden, and several tables and chairs that could be used in the shade of the portico / verandah or elsewhere in the garden. The studio was really well thought out, with a spacious bathroom and plenty of spare items if needed, good towels, excellent shower. The kitchen was also really well thought out and used the small space to the maximum. The crockery was versatile and lent itself to various different dishes. It was an absolute pleasure to use the studio as our base for working, but also for going to local markets and the coast for picnics and walks and to visit the local towns. We also walked in the neighbourhood, as there are so many small tracks among the trees and gentle ups and downs of the countryside. The studio was also very thoughtfully provided on our arrival with some coffee, milk, orange juice and oil and wine vinegar. While Michel wasn't there while we were, he was welcoming and checked at various stages that things were satisfactory, and got the kettle changed the next morning after it became defective. In his absence, Michel's neighbours were attentive and friendly when one or two issues arose. Excellent wifi 90-95% of the time, though one evening it was poor.

We could have done with a pair of kitchen scissors. Plug sockets in the kitchen were in short supply, as one needed to choose between kettle or coffee maker or microwave (the other was for the wifi router), but that wasn't too much of a problem. It would have been nice to have one of those microwaves that also do grilling, but I can appreciate that these pose more of a safety risk and perhaps too much strain on the electrics in a rural area. Even without this, we had some fabulous meals with the two hotplates on the stove.

Perfect; very pleasant in every respect.

The apartement was delightful; clean, comfortable, and spacious. It was very well equipped and the proprietor was so thoughtful in leaving us with milk, orange juice, and bottled water in the fridge and even a packet of petits fours from the local Maison du Biscuit. I am a big coffee drinker and really appreciated the filter coffee machine for which ground coffee and filters were thoughtfully provided. We loved being immersed in the middle of the French countryside with beautiful gardens surrounding the property and also fields. The setting was so tranquil and calm, no light pollution so on a really clear night there was excellent star gazing and both the Plough and Cassiapoeia could be clearly seen. We found the proprietor to be charming, friendly, and very helpful in telling us information we would not have otherwise found out about the area and things to visit. We were made to feel very welcome !

Gîte au calme au milieu de la nature et surtout un très bon accueil et des conseils personnalisés pour passer le meilleur séjour. Le fish&chips de St Vaast est effectivement excellent !

S’il faut vraiment donner un point moins positif, ce serait l’espace cuisine qui est un peu étroit bien que très bien équipé

Es gibt 2 Wohnungen, das ist optimal wenn man mit Freunden zu viert verreist. Die Wohnungen sind gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der sehr freundliche Empfang und die Gastfreundlichkeit. Eine liebevoll zusammengestellte Mappe mit vielen Tipps. Die Lage ist super schön, abseits und ruhig aber dennoch viele Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend Urlaub machen dann werden wir diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder buchen,

Michel ist ein extrem herzlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Er denkt an alle Eventualitäten und Wünsche seiner Gäste und beantwortet alle Fragen, bevor man sie stellt. Er hat uns sogar noch eine Flasche lokalen Ciders vorbeigebracht :-) Die Unterkunft ist super schön gelegen. Mitten im Grün und sehr ruhig.

Wir waren begeistert von unserem Aufenthalt auf dem Anwesen von Michel und unseren 5 Tagesausflügen.

Unser Gastgeber Michel seines Anwesens hat uns persönlich nett begrüßt und eingewiesen. er spricht sehr gut deutsch und wuchs in Lothringen auf. Das Anwesen liegt etwa 4 km abseits der Hauptstraße in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend mit viel Grün und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Vieles Interessante lässt sich automobil gut erreichen auf der Normandie-Halbinsel.

Le propriétaire est à l'ecoute, discret et très agréable. Il est très avenant et il a le souci du détail en étant très disponible. Il est de très bon conseil. Je ne peux que recommander à 200%.
