It had everything we needed

The house was like a home from home. Owners' communications and check in details were great. As soon as we opened the door we loved it: the cosy seaside decor, lovely living room with homely feel, so clean and tidy, the little welcoming goodies, the comfy beds, and of course 2 bathrooms with showers(!) The road is quiet with easy parking, and I think we saw every friendly neighbour at some point during our stay! The house is literally a stone's throw from the beach. It felt a very safe area, even on a sunset beach walk at 10pm. We'd definitely recommend this property. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is well located, it's a short drive to countryside to the west, cities to the south, Bamburgh, Holy Island, and Farne Islands boat trips to the north.

The house itself is lovely and you can’t get much closer to the promenade. It felt very homely and the Owners had left us cake, bread, hot cross buns, milk and biscuits which was great.

The Yard….its shared with neighbours and no privacy. It wasn’t a problem for us due to the time of the year we stayed and this is therefore not reflected in our overall rating but I can imagine it could be a problem for others during the warmer months if you wanted to sit / eat outside.
