Beach Hut Scamander

This property far exceeded our expectations. They thought of everything we would want, plus more. The location was sensational, right on the peninsula, and the decor was exquisite. Plenty of wood for the fire, parking at the door.

We absolutely loved our stay at Beach Hut Scamander. The location is sensational, right on the beach foreshore with beautiful views and easy access for walks along the beach, especially at sunset. It was a magical place to spend a winter getaway. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully presented and felt fresh and welcoming. Everything was modern, comfortable and thoughtfully set up. There were plenty of heaters throughout the property, which made it wonderfully cosy during the middle of winter. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and having a dishwasher made life so much easier. The washing machine and dryer were also incredibly convenient. Overall, it was such an easy, relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. We genuinely loved being here and would happily stay again.

There were only a couple of very minor issues. A few of the pots and kitchen items hadn't been washed properly before our arrival, so we gave them a quick wash before using them. The only other thing worth mentioning is that there was quite a lot of black mould inside the rubber seal of the washing machine. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until after we'd already used it a couple of times. It could do with a thorough clean as part of the regular maintenance of an otherwise beautiful property. Other than those small things, our stay was absolutely wonderful.

The accommodation was comfortable and provided all the necessary items to make the stay easy. It is a short walk across the bridge to the local bar and the cafe. The kids enjoyed the beach and swimming under the bridge.

The pictures showed a wood heater however that is for only one of the apartments. The A/C heater doesnt really heat the whole place so be warned if travelling during a cold winter. The kids bedroom is quite small but still comfortable. Anything over a short weekend stay and the place would feel really small.
