About this cottage rental
Finca Juamar is situated in Tahíche, built on a volcan. The property is formed by the house (Zonzamas); three studios (Fayna, Ico and Tirma) and one separate apartment (Taro, with its own garden). Each unit has got an independent entrance and terrace and the terraces are covered with pergolas.
There is also a swimming-pool and a wash-room to be used by all guests. If there are guests who want to grow plants, they will have a place in the garden to do so.
You get free internet with Wifi.
Each unit is equipped with TV SAT apart from an extensive information about the island Lanzarote and its most outstanding places (museums, monuments, Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism,)restaurants and more.
The land is about 7.000 square metres and borders on a natural park. It is a very quiet place, ideal for holidays in the country-side. If you are fond of walking, there are several paths going through extensive adjoining volcanic areas. Nearby the FincaJuamar, in Costa Teguise, there is an 18 hole golf course.
The nearest beaches are located in Costa Teguise, Arrecife (main city of Lanzarote) or Famara, all at a short distance by car.

Few apartments, so the shared pool is almost for you.
Very good internet (both my wife and I worked from here).

Partly to avoid the awfulness of a British winter, and partly to spend time on a writing project, I booked in late November for 3 months. The apartment was perfect for me. It is off the beaten track (a rental car is pretty essential) but that suited me.
The friendly herd of goats outside the verandah was a plus.
Rita - the owner - was attentive and responsive. The maid was very thorough in her weekly visits.
Not a personal issue for me. But a couple of practical suggestions for future guests. A new shower curtain would be good. And a few more utensils for those who like to cook.

Wir haben kurzfristig gebucht und trotzdem eine schöne Bleibe auf Lanzarote, in dem Ort Tachiche, gefunden.
Die Lage gefiel uns wirklich gut, man von dort aus super gut Ausflüge in die Umgebung starten. Und man kann direkt von der Finca aus in die Natur laufen und Sonnenuntergänge schauen.
Rita ist eine nette, zuverlässige Vermieterin, die auch gerne ihre Insidertipps auf der Insel verrät.
Toll fand ich auf jeden Fall das Sortiment an Infomaterialen, das in jedem Apartment ausliegt. Aktuell und interessant.
Eine echte Entdeckung war für mich der Reiseführer von Lanzarote, den ich in ihrer kleinen Bibliothek entdeckt habe. Er ist in Englisch, Deutsch und auf Spanisch. Ich kenne Lanzarote gut, aber dieser Wanderreiseführer hat mir zahlreiche neue Infos geboten. Großartig. Ich kann nur empfehlen, nach dem Reiseführer zu fragen. Ich weiß nicht, ob er in allen Apartments ausliegt.
Die Matratzen und Kopfkissen sind wirklich toll zum Schlafen. Ich kenne auch andere :-).
Fazit: Wir sind gut erholt und mit neuen Ideen zurückgekommen. Gerne wieder!!!
