The area is ideal for cycling with quiet roads and tracks to follow from your doorstep.

Aberfeldy is just over a mile away and has a good selection of places to eat and have coffee, or visit galleries, an award-winning book shop, community cinema and local shops, including a butcher. If you like a round of golf on your holidays, the local golf course welcomes visitors and there is a putting green in the summer months on which to practice. For adrenaline junkies there is white water rafting, canyoning and kayaking on the river, or for a more relaxing pace a walk in the Birks of Aberfeldy or along the river side. The local Dewars Whisky Distillery offers tours, letting you into the secrets of making Scotland’s national drink and you also get the opportunity to sample some.

For days out you can take a Highland Safari into the mountains to spot the local wildlife surrounded by the dramatic scenery of this most beautiful area of Scotland. A cruise on Loch Tay shows you close up some of the inaccessible areas of the loch, with its nature and wildlife. Lovely little cottage in a quiet village. Perfect for two people and a dog. There are numerous beautiful walks nearby. We walked into Aberfeldy, there is a path off the road (you’ll need a torch for dark evenings). The Ailean Chraggan hotel is a 5 min walk (again there is a path off the road) is dog friendly and the food was reasonably priced and excellent. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Nice and cosy little house. Very well equiped kitchen, small bathroom with shower/tub combination. Not even 5 min away from Aberfeldy when driving by car. Small parking space behind the house. Had a great stay but the check-in was terrible. The house you see on the picture is divided in two guest houses. So there are two doors with two different key boxes. They gave me the wrong code so i had to call the emergency number i got in the chat because i didn't get a immediate response via chat or mail. Also theres was no direct information about WiFi and the password. I found it jn the guestbook underneath the tv. That is just unnecessary. Please just put out a note on the counter with the WiFi information. Especially for someone without british SIM or ESIM that was qutite annoying. Everything else was just fine for a holiday no longer than a week. Good spot to make daytrips throughout the Highlands. Aberfeldy is nice as well. Good restaurants and pubs. The distillery i can definitely recommend if you like whisky.

After not receiving any information as how to get into the property we finally got the information from other guests. The property itself had everything that we needed and the location was very good. Being a local from many years ago didn’t need to worry too much about what was going on in the area. The only issue we had was the toilet was not easy to flush, something that needs to be fixed.

    Overall good but basic accommodation.

Overall good but basic accommodation. Location was good everywhere in Scotland was within a 2 hour drive which was ideal as we wanted to stay somewhere as a base, and visit a different part of Scotland each day. The property had everything we would've wanted (Albeit TV could have done with HDMI port). The only downside was the Storage Heater, not sure if this was shared with the main building (Tigh Craggan) but rarely could we shower with hot water as the tank had ran out everytime we wanted to use it.
