the location is 2-3 mins to the beach, the staff makes you feel warm & welcome immediately.
Rooms are adequate & super clean - they cleaned everyday and we were always provided with fresh sheets.
also a SUPER top thing, is the restaurant next door: The wave. The chef is absolutely class & with some restrictions we had x he really followed them on point! the food was part of this incredible time for sure, especially after a full day of sun and snorkeling :)

Unser Aufenthalt im Vilu Thari Inn hat uns rundum begeistert. Das Zimmer war klimatisiert, sauber und mit stabilem WLAN ausgestattet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das überaus freundliche und aufmerksame Personal: Ausflüge wurden spontan organisiert und ganz auf unsere Wünsche abgestimmt. Ob ein traumhaftes Picknick auf einer einsamen Insel oder ein ausgedehnter Schnorchelausflug – es war stets perfekt vorbereitet, mit genügend Zeit und Verpflegung. Unser Guide hat tolle Bilder und Videos für uns gemacht, sodass wir komplett abschalten konnten.
Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat uns sehr positiv überrascht.
Mahibadhoo selbst bietet genügend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, leckere Restaurants und ein wunderschönes Riff rund um die Insel.
Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer hat nicht funktioniert.

Das Essen und der Service waren gut. Leider darf man als Frau nicht am hauseigenen Strand baden, wenn nur komplett verhüllt im Burkini. Der minimalistische Touristenstrand ist absolut nicht schön und durch den Sichtschutz kommt man sich ein bisschen vor wie im Zoogehege, da dort auch ständig einheimische Spanner hinterm Zaun gaffen. Dort darf man aber wenigstens im Badeanzug oder Bikini baden. Es ist eine einheimische Insel und als Frau muss man sich beim Rausgehen bedecken. Es erweckt den Eindruck, dass Touristen dort nicht besonders willkommen sind, das merkt man am unfreundlichen Umgang in Restaurants und Geschäften, von denen es dort nicht viele gibt. Wer einen Traumurlaub via Instagram machen möchte, ist auf dieser Insel definitiv falsch. Die Unterwasserwelt ist jedoch ein Traum. Wer pe Maledivenverhältnisse günstig Urlaub machen und hauptsächlich Tauchen möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Bei der Abreise kamen noch dubiose Kosten in Form einer 170$ hohen Commisionssteuer, obwohl bei der Bookingbuchung angeblich alles inkludiert war. Diskussion bringt da nichts, man kommt sonst nicht von der Insel, die sind da knallhart. Ich würde nicht wieder dort hin..
