Desert Tree camp&tours

From the very beginning everything was smooth and well organised, with a friendly welcoming message followed by clear and reliable communication, which set the great tone for the whole experience. Staying at Desert Tree Camp exceeded my expectations. The tents feel like cosy houses that are very comfortable and well designed, with huge windows that offer incredible views of the desert. The food at the camp was also excellent, fresh, and plentiful, and enjoying the traditional zarb for dinner and to see how it is made was really a memorable experience. What really made this experience unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of Zayed and everyone running the camp. They were really kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely at home. Zayed is also a wonderful guide, talking a good English. He is genuine, professional and funny. He took us on a tour showing us a lot of beautiful and unique sites in the desert while sharing stories about the local life and insights about the area, its history, and its landscape. It was well paced, and we did not felt rushed. Sandboarding was super fun, and a must try! ending with a stunning sunset with a warm cup of tea was awesome. Finally, this was an amazing experience and a must-do when visiting Jordan. I recommend this camp to anyone visiting Wadi Rum and the tours that Zayed is offering!

Everything was good

Die Kommunikation mit unserem Guide hat super funktioniert, war schnell und transparent. Wir wurden gleich beim Parkplatz abgeholt und im Camp mit einem Willkommenstee versorgt bevor wir unser schönes Zelt bezogen haben. Die Aussicht und Ruhe ist fantastisch. Es gab für uns drei vegane Mahlzeiten (beim Frühstück gab es Brot, Gurken, Tomaten, Hummus, Zatar und Gemüseeintopf, zu Mittag Brot, Salat, Hummus und einen Gemüse und Abends Brot, Reis, gedämpfte Erdäpfel, Zucchini, Karotten und Mutabal). Es wurden viele Touren angeboten (Kamelreiten, Halb- und Ganztages-Jeep und Wandertouren, Stargazingtour, Ballonfahrt) und wir konnten die Wüste in vollen Zügen genießen und freuen uns bereits auf ein Wiedersehen.

Wir waren rundum gut versorgt. Bitte bedenken Sie, dass Sie sich in die Wüste begeben und in einem traditionellen Bedouinen-Camp übernachten (keinem Luxushotel) in einem geschützten Natur-Reservat. Im Camp gibt es ein geheiztes Aufenthaltszelt, ausreichend heißen Tee und viele dicke Decken im Bett. Nehmen Sie nach Buchung direkt Kontakt auf und klären Sie Ihr Rundum-Programm ab. So haben Sie bereits vor Ankunft einen guten Plan festgelegt.

Es war ein supertoller Aufenthalt in der Wüste mit tollen Touren und Erlebnissen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

From the moment we arrived at the camp, it felt like stepping into a dream. This wasn’t just a stay — it was a soulful escape. The setting? Absolutely breathtaking. Nestled between rolling landscapes and open skies, every corner of the camp was designed with love, simplicity, and raw natural beauty. Watching the sunset here, with a cup of chai in hand, was nothing short of magical. Accommodation: Our tent was spotless, cozy, and incredibly charming. The bed was comfortable, the interiors were thoughtfully done, and everything felt clean, secure, and serene. You can truly sleep under the stars while still feeling at home. Hospitality: The staff went above and beyond — always smiling, always ready to help, and full of local stories and recommendations. You could feel their passion for what they do, and it made all the difference. Food: Freshly cooked, flavorful, and made with heart. Whether it was the local dishes or simple snacks by the fire, everything tasted better in the open air. They even catered to our dietary needs with grace and care. Experiences: From bonfire nights to stargazing, cultural music, and early morning nature walks — everything was beautifully curated. We felt more connected to nature, to the moment, and even to ourselves. Final Thoughts: This place isn’t just for adventure seekers — it’s for anyone needing a break, looking for inspiration, or wanting to reconnect with the beauty of life.
