We came to see the 2026 eclipse, and this was the only affordable hotel in the Burgos area. Normally we would not have taken a room with a shared bathroom and without airco. But we were willing to sacrifice a little comfort for this very uniquely opportunity. In practice, despite outside temperatures of 36 degrees, the room remained relatively cool, and the shared bathroom was not a problem. The eclipse happened to be visible from our window, but we watched it from a mirador a little above Hontanas. We were happy we reserved this room, even though we probably paid at least twice the normal rate. Value for money loses its meaning in this situation.

It was very loud, the walls are too thin and the doors are so loud that you wake up every time someone goes to the bathroom. It was not very relaxing. The beds are not very comfortable and old.
