Welcome to one of the first oceanfront and highest quality-built homes in Westport! Expansive views over the ocean await you from its two engineered wraparound decks, perfect for watching fishing and crabbing vessels on the horizon or spotting a gray whale breach. This home is unique in that it offers three oceanfront bedrooms with patio doors leading out to their own private decks. Two separate dining spaces face the ocean, and walls of windows afford breathtaking views from all the main living areas. Bask under its towering wood-beamed ceilings, explore the railed second landings and widow’s walk, and enjoy its ornate stained glass, wood paneling, and solid oak floors. The wood throughout and the wood-burning fireplace give this house a warm, rustic feeling.

Gaze at the colorful fleet of fishing vessels and the sea lions at play in the marina, or book an ocean charter fishing trip. This house is dated but the ocean view is what brought us to it. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed except for a griddle, so no pancakes? Privacy was an issue in some of the bedrooms with patio doors that did not have blinds. The HVAC system worked and kept us comfortable on the main level but some upstairs bedrooms did get warm. The WIFI worked very well with many on it at the same time. There are many games and puzzles available. The living area is comfortable and can handle a larger group. It had cable and streaming TV in the living room and the main downstairs bedroom but we rarely turned it on. The best thing is the house is steps from the beach and all the beach activities you can dream up. We had a great time.

Unbeatable location but the house needs upgrades. - No window coverings on some bedrooms. - Some of the mattresses were completely worn out. - The shower head in the shared bathroom was of the cheapest type and could not be pivoted. It just shot out water over your head.- The hall lights were very dim, it is something with the wiring we swapped bulbs to test this. Or there is a dimmer switch we could not find. Two hallways have the same issue.- We could not turn on the overhead lights in the living room, I think there is a remote for this that does not work.- The hot tub water was murky - There is only 1 coat hook for a house that sleeps 14. A few of the chairs became coat piles.
