About this house rental
A large comfortable cottage of 167 m², in a quiet street with shops and the beach nearby. The apartment has a balcony, terraces and a large enclosed garden. The garden is child-friendly with u. a. Sandpit and toys. You can use the bicycles and the handcart. The rent includes three parking tickets for cars. The apartment has 4 toilets and 3 showers. All bedrooms have running cold and warm water. Some of the electricity is generated by solar systems and solar panels. The apartment has a combination boiler for central heating. The house has a separate living room, dining room and kitchen. The rental price includes: entry ticket for the dunes and other nature reserves in North Holland, park ticket, water, electricity and gas, some bicycles (possibly with a child seat), own telephone, own washing machine, and bed linen. There is a lot of information in the house about hiking, biking and other leisure activities. Additional information: The large garden is closed by a gate in the alley to the street side. Small children cannot therefore get onto the street directly.
As leisure activities in bad weather there are swimming pools in the neighboring village of Bergen and in Alkmaar. There are many leisure activities near Egmond. The cities of Amsterdam (40 km away) and Haarlem (35 km) are close to Egmond aan Zee. It is also possible to cycle through the dunes and then visit the cities in Castricum by train.
This cozy house is at your disposal in the center of the beach village Egmond aan Zee. You are on a quiet street with shopping and beach nearby. The houses have a large, partly communal, enclosed garden, which is child-friendly with a sandpit and toys. You can use the bicycles and the handcart. Parking for 4 cars is available. All bedrooms have running hot and cold water. The house has its own central heating. Some of the electricity is generated by solar systems and solar panels. Pets are not allowed. A family dune map for the nature reserve "North Holland Dunes" is included in the rental price. Detailed information about hiking, cycling and other leisure activities in North Holland are available in the house.

We rented this house for two weeks. There was more than enough room for all 12 of us (plus 2 babies). We rent a house for our whole family every year, and we never had a house that was better organized, with so much eye for detail. Binders full of materials about things to do in the area and beyond, plus books about the whole of the country of the Netherlands were available.
The house is very kid-friendly, with highchairs and cribs, as well as little gates on the top and base of the stairs for safety. The yard is fully enclosed, with lots of toys. Several bikes are present as well. All this in good shape and in working order. There are carts you can load up with chairs and anything else you may want to take to the beach (which is not crowded). The beach is at the end of the street, just a short walk from the house. The main shopping street of the cozy village is just as close. Here you can find many restaurants and a variety of shops, including a supermarket and a bakery, where we bought fresh bread every morning (as well as regularly some of those great Dutch pastries).
Last, but not least, the owners are very pleasant and eager to assist you, wherever they can.
(We live in the United States and wanted to show our offspring something about living in the Netherlands. Now they all wonder, how on earth could you have ever left there.)
