About this house rental

Red Oak Barn is one of four linked architect-designed luxury barn conversions accommodating ten people. Situated in a country lane yet just ten minutes from the vibrant city of Lincoln with its history, shopping and nightlife, it maintains the very attractive rural exterior with its own large private garden with huge swim spa, outdoor hot shower and barbecue. Relax in the lovely country garden, or in the private sheltered courtyard, enjoying meals cooked on the gas barbecue or a late night drink under the stars at the large rustic table.

The stylish, contemporary open plan interior is spacious, warm and designed in a contemporary, quirky rustic style for your comfort and relaxation by a local design firm. There is underfloor heating and logs are provided for the log burner throughout your stay. The sofas are deep and comfortable, the dining table easily seats ten and the large kitchen area has everything you need from washer-dryer to drinks cooler and coffee machine. There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor and three on the first floor, all individually designed and en suite.

We are a family enterprise and live nearby. We believe in looking after our guests from greeting you on arrival to being available for any queries you may have while you are staying with us.

The Barn was clean lots of kitchen equipment to cook, bedrooms were lovely trendy and beds were comfy. The welcoming pack was a lovely touch. The only 2 things i would mention the cooker for 10 people was atoo small. The bbq was a nice surprise and was really clean. The best part was the amazing jacuzzi shame the hot shower was not working outside but never stopped us having a great time outside. Perfect week away and we have already booked for next year would not hesitate to book any of these beautiful lodges/barns.

2nd visit to Ashlin Barns though first time to this barn.. Just wow, the barn is truly amazing, great space and decor.. Tom, Natalie and Tom’s Dad are so lovely and welcoming.. The kids loved it. Already booked back to go in August with some friends... Can’t wait...

This is the second time we have stayed in the Red Oak. We’re a group of girlfriends who go for my Birthday. The barn is beautiful spacious and has everything we require. We are a group of friends from school that now live across the country and love a good excuse to meet up when we can. We found Ashlin Barn Farms online and it was a perfect location for us all to reach! From the moment we arrived everything was perfect, even the little touches from the robes to the local cheese and Prosecco it made our stay incredible. There was everything we needed for a girly weekend and we are already talking about making this a yearly occasion! Thank you Ashlin Farm Barns, we loved every minute!

We stayed in the red oak barn for a pre Christmas weekend which was absolutely beautiful . Everything about our stay was perfect . We had a lovely welcome with home made lemon drizzle cake and other very thoughtful welcome gifts for adults and the children . True professionals and the attention to detail was wonderful. I would highly recommend ashlin barns and will definitely be going back in the future

My 60th Birthday Celebration

We were a party of 9 ladies staying at Red Oak Barn to celebrate my special birthday! The barn is absolutely beautiful with luxurious fittings and everything possible has been added to make it as comfortable as it could be! The swimspa was amazing, the fabulous en-suite facilities in every room were a delight and the personal service we received was outstanding! We arrived to find extra little touches in the form of cake and other goodies which made it a very special welcome for us all. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone. Thank you Natalie and your team for making my birthday one to remember!

A superb holiday in a lovely place

This was an excellent holiday from booking until the end. Natalie made things seem personal and the extra touches made us all feel special. The barn is an amazing place to stay in a lovely location. The swim spa gives that extra touch along with slippers and robes. Our ages went from 3 to 74 and suited all. Hope to be back soon. Thank you.

Could not fault a singular thing about our stay at Red Oak, Natalie was my point of contact and she was amazing and helped in any way possible. Every one of my friends loved the Red Oak Barn and called it our very only Love Island villa it was that amazing!! The little touches of balloons for my graduation celebration really topped off the stay! We definitely will return.

The house was everything that you see in the pictures, beautifully clean and comfortable. Although the 4 properties are attached round a courtyard, we were totally private and hardly heard the neighbours. Lovely location with nice walks and really nice pub not too far away. We had a fabulous weekend. The owners were very pleasant and friendly. We did have a problem with hot water but this was attended to almost as soon as we reported it. 5 stars throughout.

Went for my hen do and the venue was perfect. The hot tubs are amazing! Every detail was excellent , the decor was beautiful and they have thought of everything down to the home made cakes. Would highly recommend and we are already planning on when we can come back .

We hired four barns for a hen weekend. From the moment we booked Natalie and the team could not have been more helpful. Responsive to all of our questions and often going above and beyond when helping us plan details and venues for the hen. When we arrived the barns were breathtaking. They have combined amazing style and quality with practicality which is no easy task. There is everything you need and more for a wonderful stay and you feel like you are on the set of a beautiful homes magazine shoot! The setting is incredible, rural, scheduled with breathtaking views. Chris greeted us and showed us everything we needed and could not have been more helpful (or lovely) Our weekend was so incredibly special and a huge part of that was down to these wonderful barns and the support and care provided by the teams. Thank you so much, we will be back - Although it is someone else’s turn to organise it this time!

Absolutely fantastic place. From the moment we arrived it was so welcoming and had everything we needed and more. There were presents for all the children. Little nibble treats left for the adults and there was nothing we needed. We would definitely come again. Oh nearly forgot the hot tub was amazing and huge-enough room for all 9 of us!! My family and I absolutely loved our stay at what is a modern, spacious and really relaxing destination. The hot tub was a particular highlight - it is enormous. The owners have thought of everything; right down to minute detail such as Lincolnshire baking and cheese upon arrival and hallway torches for safety during nighttime. Would 100% return.

From the initial contact and booking we have nothing but praise for the whole process and the helpfulness we received. On arrival we were made to feel most welcome - and that it was our comfort and enjoyment that was important. We were shown round the properties to ensure we knew how to operate the heating and other important elements. The property was warm and spotless and beautifully decorated for Christmas. On the kitchen top and in the fridges we found mince pies, lemon drizzle cake, milk , orange juice and Lincolnshire cheeses together with sparkling wine - what a welcome!! The spacious properties had been carefully planned with the customer satisfaction very much in mind - with many appreciated touches. We shall definitely use again and recommend this venue to others. We also used the Wild Cherry Barn at the same time for the same event and this revue applies equally to that.

Stayed here for a girls weekend away. We were all extremely impressed with Red Oak Barn. We were met by the friendly staff on arrival. The personal and extra effort made to make our stay perfect was exceptional. The barn is a very high standard build and attention to detail was excellent. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Visited Red Oak Barn for my mother’s 60th birthday and were truly blown away. There’s lot of these types of places available to rent but I urge anyone looking for that extra special getaway to chose Ashlin Farm Barns. Not only is the accommodation beautifully presented but the owners take immense pride in ensuring your trip is memorable and enjoyable. The little touches provided by this Barn make you feel like you’re royalty. Tom and his team have done an unbelievable job and there isn’t a single negative part I could mention about the entire trip from start to finish. Would like to say a massive thank you to Ashlin Farm Barns for making our week away a lovely memory and a great story to tell. I can’t recommend them highly enough, we will be returning soon!
