About this villa rental
Enjoy this spacious and sunny villa with private pool and many terraces. Lots of privacy, stunning views over the Med, Salobreña, Motril and Torrenueva. Four bed- and bathrooms. Highly rated reviews.
Very charming and spacious villa (GPS coordinates: 36 ° 44 '45 "N 3 ° 37'59" W), situated in a quiet urbanization right between the two coastal villages of Salobreña and Almuñécar. The urbanization is very well kept and the properties are owned by many different nationalities including French, German, Belgian, Scandinavian, Russian, Spanish and English. It also has a community swimming pool at a tennis court (walking distance). Down the road to bus stops with hourly connections to Salobreña, Almuñécar, Granada and Málaga.
Our villa, 'Villa Vistasmar', is facing south and is surrounded by lots of terraces (450 sqm), gardens and enjoys breathtaking sea views. It was fully restored five years ago (new kitchens, bathrooms and terraces etc.) and has very good access. Situated only a few hundred meters away from the N340 and 400 meters from the sea and a little beach. The villa has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two modern fitted kitchens. The main floor is a comfortable and spacious living room (70 sqm) with a fireplace and lots of sofas to relax. The largest bedroom sleeps two persons, but in case a group or guests stay, the sofa bed can be used.
Please note that in high season (June 15 - September 14) we only accept reservations for the entire villa (occupancy: eight guests). For example, if you are a group of six, please make a reservation for eight guests.
There are smart, 3D TVs with satellite and WiFi internet connections. The villa has central heating and therefore it is also very comfortable during winter time.
There are a kidney shaped swimming pool (2 / 4.50 x 10 meters, we are planning to install a heating system this winter 2019), five terraces (each with sofas, sun loungers, tables and chairs) and lovely gardens with flowers and tropical trees. The villa offers lots of privacy. In the neighborhood you can walk, bike, play golf, go horse riding and both Salobreña and Almuñécar offer a variety of good restaurants.
We have left the original details intact, so the villa has the typical Spanish atmosphere. We added some luxury, without trying to be too perfect or decadent. The villa is nicely situated on top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Salobrena, Motril, Torrenueva and the urbanization. There is actually too much you can see and do. You can go for a walk in the mountains, go skiing in the Sierra Nevada, visit the Alhambra, go to the prehistoric caves or Nerja or enjoy a walk in prize winning Frigiliana ...
The most surprising advantage of the villa is the combination of the tranquility of the sea and the coastal area. Especially in July and August it is very busy in Salobreña and Almuñécar. When you are in or around the villa and relaxing on one of the terraces. The breathtaking sea views in front of you and the always changing sunrises and -sets are also hard to describe.

Very attent host and local point of contact.
A little bit of maintenance needed but the view, the pool, the extra local-information you get makes it up.
The beach below is very quiet and great for snorkling You can reach it by food (if you are in good shape). We used the car.

The villa has lots of charm, a wonderful views of the coast, nice swimming pool, a big open space with terraces, a quiet location. However, the property needs to be refreshed. Also some storage space is needed for all of the quests to unpack. Overall a good experience.

First of all, the house is in a beautiful location with a spectacular view. However, the property has been poorly maintained. The furniture in and out of the house was filthy. There was bird poop on one of the chairs that was in the main bedroom, broken furniture in one of the patios, unfinished holes in the living room, pipes sticking out in the living room, and the furniture in general was dirty (pictures attached). Besides the furniture being dirty, the property had a huge bug problem! There were wasps everyday by the pool area (which made being in the pool super uncomfortable), there were spiders all over the inside of the house, and we had to kill roaches daily! The view is amazing but impossible to enjoy with the fear of being bitten by a wasp or mosquito. The towels that were left for us to use were hard and old and so were the bedsheets (some had holes). The property needs a major overhaul. I was terribly disappointed and when the owners solution for the wasps was to buy bug spray, I just didn't want to address any issues further. Also, the dishwasher and wifi don't work and the property manager made it seem like it hasn't worked in a while with no sign of being fixed. There is only one AC unit in the living room and even running it all day, it still was hot in there.
