Beautiful garden, atmosphere and staff members.

The location, the staff, the breakfast, the jacuzzi!

We arrived on a Thursday and we were told breakfast is served from 8:00–11:00, so for Saturday we booked our tour for 9:30am to have breakfast beforehand. As we showed up at 8:00am on Saturday, we were told weekend breakfast only starts after 9:30. We asked if we could have something small, but were told it wasn’t possible. We ended up waiting for our taxi until 9:30am, and even though some food already seemed to be ready , nothing was offered to us.

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay, but more aligned with a strong 4-star hotel than a true 5-star experience

The mattress was extremely comfortable, the television was excellent with very good speakers, and the garden was beautiful. The room was very spacious with a large and well-designed bathroom. The staff was also very friendly and professional.

The breakfast only included items listed on the menu, which was mainly omelette-based. If you ordered something like a hot chocolate with a croissant, it was charged as an extra. This was never clearly explained, which was disappointing — when booking a hotel with breakfast included, I do not expect to pay supplements for basic breakfast items. Additionally, while the hotel is pleasant, it does not truly meet international 5-star standards. It feels closer to a high-end 4-star property rather than a genuinely luxurious experience.

Perfect Hotel for Nature Lovers

LOVED the location. The hotel is located at the entrance of a popular hill that is used by the locals for mountain biking and hiking. We hiked first thing to see the volcanos (20 minute walk) and the views were spectacular. The hotel is quiet, and it is surrounded by nature. We got the opportunity to meet the staff and everyone was wonderful. Claudia, the general manager made sure our stay was special.

Pool was having a technical issue, they forgot to clean the bin in the room, the shower head wasn’t maintained properly and the water wasn’t falling straight down

Great location for walks in the state park and friendly staff!

We enjoyed our stay at the Camino del Bosque hotel over Christmas. Restful and peaceful, close to the hill and state park with great walks, nice environment and very friendly staff!

Overall it was great, just some improvements around the furnishing in the rooms (the room could have benefited from a couch and an extra cupboard), the heating (unfortunately the bathrooms were quite cold) and the fact that the hotel should provide more than one set of keys. But these are details and we really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel location was very far from city center and it was difficult to get a taxi or Uber to pick us up. Took about 20-30 minutes from when we would call for someone to arrive, and then a 15-20 minute ride to center of Cholula. The room was very cold, there were a lot of extra blankets so we slept fine but room itself was freezing, and the water from the sinks and shower was warm but not hot, I was shivering in the shower. The door was also very difficult to lock and there was no info about Wi-Fi or anything given on arrival, once we did get it the Wi-Fi was spotty. There was loud music being played in the courtyard til around 2 am.

It is a great place to spend a weekend in Cholula and visit Puebla.

It is a bit far from the center of Cholula but this has the benefit of being quiet and surrounded by forest.

we would not recommend this hotel to anyone

It is one of those places that looks nice on the outside but on the inside is basically falling apart. They have water issues. We were without water for 6 hours. They have no a/c. No wi-fi and the staff is not helpful

the staff is not friendly and they seem to not know what they are doing. we asked for the wifi code and they said the maids were the ones that knew the password, they said they would send it to us and they didn’t. when we called again, they said that actually they had no wifi. water was put for 6 hours. we asked for pool towels. we waited 30 minutes. no a/c. room is really hot and full pf mosquitos

The hotel is really nicely done up, with super friendly staff and amazing rooms (stayed in the mini house/suite). The room is great, and really comfortable and the garden area is perfect to relax in.

quiet hotel for a getaway

The hotel Camino Del Bosque is the perfect place for a quiet weekend really close to Cholula and Puebla. It is very quiet, except for one dog. The garden is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly, like most times in Mexico. You can see hummingbirds through the window, and driving 5-10 min you have amazing views of the Popocatepetl. The person who does the Temazcal at this hotel is a spring of joy. She will rejuvenate your soul with over 2 hours of session. The hotel is clean and well designed. The only things I could say are that it gets really cold at night in late autumn / winter time, and the shower is a bit on and off and there is no ventilation so it gets really humid. Also, the cleanliness of the common areas are a bit average. Other than that, we have loved our stay and we will go back for sure !

A bit warmer in the room would be appreciated in the evening. Very white and cold lighting in the room also. One barking dog that is quite noisy. Around, the countryside is quite dirty, and maybe the hotel could be engaging with neighbors to make their countryside cleaner...

Schöne Oase, etwas abgelegen in einer wohl guten Gegend. Parken im Vorgarten vor dem Haus. Die Anlage ist ein Traumgarten. Hot Whirlpool, Saunahaus (leider nicht bei unserer Übernachtung und gewärmter Pool. Frühstück sehr gut und im freien in der Sonne möglich. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals

Bei unserem Besuch konnten wir um 1600 noch etwas essen. Es gab allerdings nur Lachs mit Gemüse. Das Essen war allerdings lecker. Das Restaurant hat dann geschlossen. Es soll künftig auch am Abend geöffnet sein. Frühstück leider spät, erst um 9 Uhr. Das ist für längere Tagesunternehmungen etwas spät.

Increíble

Todo fue increíble durante mi estancia desde que te reciben el personal es súper amable, la habitación tenía bastante espacio y nos hizo sentir muy cómodos, el desayuno justo lo que se necesitaba para llegar empezar el día, las instalaciones en general bien alumbradas y cuidadas. El personal estuvo de diez, muy atentas hasta el velador, la chef increíble. Lea agradecemos que nos hicieran sentir así de cómodos y atendidos. Las vistas a los volcanes en la ruta para hacer caminata estaban increíbles.
