Relaxing, Family Friendly | Great Beach Entrance | Gulfview II

This property was a great location! Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to most restaurants. It could have been cleaner when we checked in. Also- there is NOT a dishwasher. There is also not a power plug in in the bathroom off the bedroom. Overall, it’s a good place to stay.

Nice condo

Property was very spacious and clean. Could have had more towels and wash cloths. We were there for a week and each bath had 2 towels and 1 wash cloth. No dish cloth for washing dishes. Was in good location for getting to bus but weather was windy, cold and rainy so made it harder to get out. Would suggest renting a golf cart to get around if you don't have a rental car. Walk to beach wasn't very far. Only real negative was that we paid for late checkout which allowed us to be there until 1:00 which apparently this was not communicated to the cleaning person. We came back from Brunch at the Holiday Inn and all beds were stripped and towels were gone. While we were sitting there waiting for shuttle she just unlocked the doors and came in.

Overall the condo and complex were very nice. Location was perfect for the beach, not much of a view as this is a ground floor unit overlooking the parking lot. Unfortunately there were no BBQs as advertised. For the first 3 week of our stay they were being replaced. We ended up purchasing a propane BBQ. The kitchen was not fully equiped, it was missing measuring utensils, steak knives, small spoons and other items, can opener did not work, the large blender was missing the actual container. Someone in the condo complex lent us one to use for the month. There were no sealed storage containers. The pots were not in good condition we had to purchase one and we did thankfully bring our own frying pans. The baking pans were rusted and not safe to use. There was a hand towel but no tea towels or anything to wash up with. When staying for a month it would have been nice to have extra towels and linens so you can replace them while laundering others. We found out from tennants that we should not drink the tap water after being in the condo for a few days. We were advised to use the filtered water from the laundry room. The balcony chairs have lost their sealed coating so if you sit on them you end up with a chalking covering on your clothes. The closets were all locked so there was limited storage. There was a coat stand which so you could hang some clothing on a limited basis. Tennants and maintenance stay were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed visiting SPI and hope to return.
