About this chalet rental
Come enjoy this beautifully remodeled Chalet. Located on South Shore Road. When you come to our home you will definitely get that " Adirondack" feel. Our home has beautiful knotty pine throughout with rustic furnishings that will give you that true Adirondack feel. We have enough room to accommodate 2 families or one large family. Our home has 2 family rooms and a beautiful loft outside of the master bedroom. Full furnished basement. Our home also offers a beautiful wrap around porch to enjoy on those beautiful summer nights. Come visit us! We are in a prime location of Old Forge. Just a 10 minute walk to town...Water Safari or the beach which is located on First Lake. There is plenty of parking for our guests. Just incase any power outages occur during your stay we do have a full home stand by automatic generator for your convenience.

Our stay at the chalet was wonderful! The home was beautiful, well-maintained, and made for a relaxing getaway. We were especially grateful that the property had a backup generator when the power in Old Forge went out for about four hours. It made a huge difference and was greatly appreciated.The only drawbacks for us were the housekeeping expectations. This was the first VRBO we’ve stayed in that required guests to bring all of their own towels and bed linens, which was unexpected. Additionally, although a cleaning fee was charged, guests were also expected to complete a significant amount of cleaning before checkout, including sweeping the floors and cleaning the house. We were also required to take all of our trash to the local dump before leaving. While we understand that some vacation rentals have unique checkout procedures, these requirements felt more extensive than what we’ve experienced elsewhere, especially with a cleaning fee included. It would have been helpful if these expectations had been more clearly emphasized before booking.Overall, we had a great experience, enjoyed our time at the chalet, and loved visiting beautiful Old Forge. With a few adjustments to the checkout expectations, this would be an easy five-star stay across the board.

This property was amazing! Just the right amount of space for 5 friends. The house was clean, well kept, and such a positive energy. The only obstacle we came across was the transfer station only being open on Sunday morning. We had about 4 full garbage bags waiting for the transfer station and not a large enough garbage to store them as we waited. The host quickly answered questions we had. I would definitely stay here again!

It should be disclosed in the property description that the internet is unreliable, for those who need it for work. We lost service on day 2 of 7 and never had it restored. This also affected some of the tv’s that were only stream ready. Some of our party had to leave early because of being unable to connect to work.
