Freycinet Cottage 2 – Dolerite

The shower was very small and the exhaust fan was very noisy.

This cottage was in such a fantastic location. It was clean and warm. We loved having the fire on each night and cooking for ourselves on our honeymoon. Being so close to the local walking tracks was excellent and seeing the Currawongs each morning was a real highlight.

Whilst very cozy overall, I wish that the pillows and bedding were more comfortable. Hard to fault this place overall though.

There was a hole in the main bedroom wall, there was a random sock in the dryer

Maintenance was poor, fire alarm in the main bedroom had been removed with a date of 2020 for renewal, 2 out of 3 lamps in the kitchen area had been removed & not replaced, the bbq gas cylinder was left virtually empty which meant it ran out & we couldn’t bbq on night 2 despite them being informed early morning & couldn’t replace in time for us - very disappointing. (Our next booking had left a spare gas cylinder for the bbq should we run out). In short, fantastic location, poorly maintained & overall tired. Removal of the smoke alarm was just dangerous.
