The cabin is located on the beach, with a beautiful view to wake up to from the bedroom. There were lots of birdlife, which we appreciated, being birdwatchers. We especially liked the wood stove heater, as August is a little cold (the split a/c system was handy too). The shower was hot and the full kitchen is well supplied with cooking utensils. There was good access to the local Lonawanna Cafe and surrounding places of interest, like the Cape Bruny Lighthouse.

Lovely base for Bruny Island, super clean and had everything we could need. Do bring food with you to the island if you want to cook for yourself, there is not a lot on the island. We did this on Dee’s recommendation.

Beautiful view, quiet and secluded. Lots of cute wildlife! Great location for sightseeing.Lots of firewood to make a fire!

It looks modern and clean
There are a lot of wallaby poops, millipedes and spiders around. The location is off road at a place called cemetery road, and there are graveyards nearby. Driving at night back home would make it very difficult as well. On the night that we stayed, the power went off but that’s fair because the wind affected the whole Bruny island.
