Step inside this 1,300 sq. ft. per-side duplex and feel your cares melt away. Rent one side for an intimate escape, or both for double the space—perfect for larger groups. *PARKING: Summer Palace is located @ Gulf Shores Plantation and offers onsite parking. Your parking permits will be obtained from the Guard upon arrival at no charge. Please let the Guard know you are staying in Summer Palace B, which is Lot/ House 1. Since you are only booked in Side B, be sure to only park on Side B and do not block Side A driveway or under the house parking.
*PETS: This property is NOT a pet friendly property. Any evidence of a pet being on site will result in immediate eviction and possible extra charges if damages occur.
*MONTHLY RENTALS: This property is available for monthly rentals at certain times of the year. Ask the reservationist for details regarding monthly rates and fees associated with monthly rentals.
*CANCELLATION: In the event you have to cancel we will work with you as much as possible, however we do have a Cancellation Policy in place. Loved our mini vaca! You can hear the neighbors through the wall and the walk to the beach is long, BUT the credit for beach supplies was a huge plus!! We loved being so close to the pools!

We have stayed at Plantation many times, but this was our first time in one of the beach cottages. It’s a great property just a short walk to the beach boardwalk. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for a family, and we enjoyed the living space on the first floor separate from the upstairs sleeping areas. The 2 pools were never over crowded, even for the July 4 holiday. The property managers were very helpful and responsive. We’ll be back!

Our family enjoyed the space and location offered by this rental. This is a “sleeps 9” rental and our group of 8 had plenty of room throughout the house and several balcony areas. Only complaint is the mattress on the sleeper sofa definitely needs to be replaced. We enjoyed the beach being just a short walk from the house. The area was nice and quiet! Overall a great stay. Thank you!

Pros:
Size - the bedrooms are a good size. You could sleep 8+ people. Lots of room for a large group.
Management - I had to contact them the morning after we arrived. They responded immediately.
Property - They have made several improvements since we were there last. We enjoyed the on-site restaurant as well as having options for pools. The beach is also beautiful.
Cons:
Cleanliness - I spent our 1st night washing dishes. Straight from the cabinet, they were dirty. Greasy handprints, smelly liquid in the bottom of cups as if someone used it then put it back in the cabinet. I washed some and kept those separate from the rest. When I contacted management they offered to send a cleaner but since I spent my 1st night washing dishes, towels, sweeping floors and getting sand off furniture, I wished it had been done before we arrived. Not after.
Overall upkeep - This duplex could be so much better. There is paint bubbled in several corners, the carpet needs cleaned or removed and the bedding in the master is stained.
Lastly, we could not only hear our neighbors quite well, but we also smelled everything they cooked. The entire bottom floor smelled like peppers & onions for our visit. There needs to be some type of soundproofing done. Unless you are renting both sides, be prepared to hear everything.
