The staff was very friendly and kind with our kids
They packed a lot of blankets but the room was still a little cold for my preference, even with a space heater. My husband was fine and when I woke up I was ok, just a little on the chilly side.

We were very happy with the small heater in the room.
Breakfast was actually slightly better than the "standard breakfast" which we paid to eat.
Easy walk to the hotspring at the end of the road. There were a few dogs, but they were friendly.
The restaurant right next door didn't seems like reliable in terms of the opening hour, so you better eat at one if the restaurants near to the hotspring.
The wall of the room is paper thin. You basically can hear the complete conversation next door.
When it rains, the noise on the roof is loud.
The bathroom is cold.
