Have an open mind.

The location was (for me) in a lovely quiet area and I had no issues with the idea of a shared kitchen and bathroom. Had I been a car owner, then parking would be an issue, the street is very narrow, I had a sea view and although it's a 20 minute walk to the sea, it's not a problem, the hosts were not invasive and I would certainly recommend this place without a doubt.

My flight had been delayed and I arrived after midnight. The host regularly communicated with me and waited up to show me to my room in person.

Affordable guest house exceeding my expectations in some regards

I really appreciated the equipment outside of the room. Kitchenette with all one needs for the drinks and food preparation, tea/coffee supplies, shared fridge ... and all in a humble but visually pleasant design, nice to be in, not just like those usual sterile white b&b kitchens. Sofa with TV if one needs it. A/C for the room. Solid nightshades for the windows, even if stuck sometimes. Desk and cupboard. Charging sockets. Location in a relatively calm street, with good access to the trains (10 minutes) as well as the grocery stores. Bike rental nearby as well. Guest house owners were even helpful in finding spot to store the bikes overnight. Easy to check-in, communicate all the basic, get the additional information.

This was summer Spain, so the air was really hot even in the night - and I am usually very fond of heat - after running A/C for one hour, it was bearable. However, too noisy machine to sleep with if turned on. Needs a solid few hours of constant running before turning it off to sleep till the morning. Evening / morning noise from the street, with passing cars, even if not that frequent - I guess this is the usual house/wall construction in the area. You hear it all. Earplugs necessary for the people with lighter sleep (like mine). I'd suggest working on the room interiors - mine was just plain and white (unlike the shared spaces). Adding a bit of character and homeliness would make it nicer. But that's my personal taste. Benalmadena is a bit far away from Torremolinos, Malaga, or some specific beaches - count on trains (only up to midnight) or bikes or taxis. However, a pleasant town to be in, with its own sights.

Never advice.

I Liked nothing I regret having chosen this property. The bed was very bad and old. Towel never changed. Room never done. I will advice people not to go there. Never seen the owner except the time they gave me the keys.

Clean, secure, friendly, convenient, good value, & an excellent base for your southern Spain travels

I really liked the room I was in as I was able to create a wind cross-breeze; as I'm not a fan of A/C. The bedroom was spacious with table, chair, wardrobe, bed, A/C and two windows. The room was very clean, the door locked properly, and there are adjustable shades for the windows. I also like the linens and pillow provided. The room was on the second floor, and I believe there are five rooms in total on the second floor of the building. Kitchen: Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, cups, plates, appliances, etc. There is a large fridge for the five rooms with designated shelf space. Each room also, has their own cupboard space too. There is a table there sits four. Living room: Sofa with TV and cable. Two bathrooms (shared): Large, clean, excellent hot water and water pressure. Outlets to use shaver or blow dryer. Towels are provided with each room. Wifi: Excellent wifi everywhere in the guest house. Security: I liked that my room (all five rooms) are on the second floor. I liked that the first floor entrance (on the ground floor) is locked, then the second floor door to the five rooms had key access only, and then the individual rooms, as well. I also, liked that the owners of the guest house live in this same building. Staff: They were patient, helpful, and accommodating to my changing plans. Also, they were quick to solve any problems that occurred. Other: Nearby you have an ATM, a couple of beaches, a grocery store, cafe's, gondola ride, marina, and many many restaurants. Also, (when you can find it) there is street parking for your rental car. The location was excellent.

1. Sometimes, it could be loud outside in the streets. (This is not the fault of the guest house.) 2. Another guest, would start cooking at 2am in the kitchen. Again, this was not the guest house and I was able to rectify this situation on my own.

Great value, well equipped & located guesthouse with very friendly and polite owner.

The host Dani was friendly, polite, and easy to contact both before the trip and during the stay. The guest-house, which is finished to a high standard throughout, was always spotlessly clean. The kitchen has everything one would need to self cater, and the use of the washing machine is a bonus. Huge smart tv with Netflix was a nice surprise too. Two separate modern bathrooms with showers, water always hot with good pressure. The location is excellent, situated on a quiet street away from the noise but also close enough to shops (huge Mercadona supermarket a short walk), bars and restaurants, which are only a few minutes walk away, as is the train station. Without doubt the best guest house I have ever stayed in, anywhere.

Walls are thin but I use earplugs so it didn't really matter!

Was like being at home. The owner even let me keep my luggage there in safe after I checked out for the time being when I was still exploring the city while waiting for my train to my next destination, which was lovely. He was so kind and helpful, also flexible with making the schedules work the best way possible.

There wasnt much I didnt like, but the beach was kinda far. However, location is something one cannot change so that's really not anything I can complain about.
