About this cottage rental

Our spacious 3 bedroom cottage is situated on a 1-acre lot overlooking Boughton Bay. This cottage was newly built in 2019. Sandy's Beach on Boughton Bay can be accessed directly from the cottage lot. This beach is great for swimming, walking on low tide, clamming, and hunting for sand dollars.

The cottage features an open concept kitchen, dining and living area with cathedral ceilings. Our kitchen will offer all appliances including a dishwasher and features a large island for entertaining. As our family loves to cook and entertain, you can be sure we will have a fully equipped kitchen. Large windows and patio and garden door allow for beautiful water views.

We believe the added bonus to our cottage is the attached screened in sunroom which has ample seating for the whole family and leads out to our large open deck. While sitting on our deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Boughton Bay. You can enjoy sunrises, sunsets or star gazing at night. You can watch fishing boats sail in and out of Annandale Harbour. Bird watchers can enjoy a variety of birds including herons and Canada geese. Our outdoor features include deck furniture, fire pit, outdoor shower, propane barbeque, and outdoor games.

The cottage includes other amenities such as washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, internet, satellite TV, DVD player, DVD movies, board games, and books.

Sally's Beach Provincial Day Park which is great for collecting sea glass is a 5 min drive.
Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round of golf at Rollo Bay Greens (18 min drive), Brudenell River & Dundarave (29 min drive), or Links at Crowbush Cove (45 min drive)
Local attractions include antique shops, artisans, kayak and paddle board rentals, Micheal Smith's FireWorks restaurant, ceilidhs, fishing harbours and beaches.
Nearby towns of Souris (24 min drive) and Montague (32 min drive) offer a variety of services for your everyday needs.
Charlottetown, the capital city of PEI, is a 58 min drive.

We thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing week at this cottage. The cottage is bright, airy, and well laid out with ample room for a family of four. We all enjoyed lounging on the deck in the morning watching the ocean while drinking coffee. The screened in sun room was a bonus - a place to escape the sun while still getting a lovely coastal breeze. Walking on the beach while the tide was out was a daily joy. Although not a swimming beach we found plenty of places to swim nearby. There is plenty of room to sit and cook and eat inside which made the stay very relaxing. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

We had an amazing time at Escape at the Cape. From our first view of the beach house driving up the lane, to being greeted by a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table - it was love at first sight. Paul even drove down to welcome us. The cottage was clean, bright and spacious lacking nothing for our family of 5. The rooms are very comfortable. The fire pit was also a perk. We spent many hours walking the beach, finding a variety of shells and seaglass. The Cape is close to everything. Cavendish is an hour drive. Souris is 20 minutes. We enjoyed a wonderful seafood platter at Clam Diggers. Captain Jeff's Deep Sea Fishing was also an awesome experience. We cooked many of our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. I enjoyed reading in the side porch during the evenings. The boys enjoyed the board games, my husband the TV. We were lulled to sleep by the ocean. Beth and Paul have created a beautiful spot. We feel truly blessed to have been able to find such a special place to experience PEI. pictures do not di this

This place is perfect for families that have small kids as they have room to run around. Inside was clean and had a good amount of room for 7 people (4 adults, 3 kids). The property is nestled in a quiet & picturesque part of the island (a hidden gem). Especially given some of the parks nearby (Greenwich & Basin Head).

Excellent! Beautiful, quiet cottage and property with awesome view of Boughton Bay! A large screen room with views and bay breeze a huge plus. Nearby beaches are lovely. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay!
