Quinta dos Pastores

This was the best experience that I had. We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this home, and it was beyond our expectations. Ilda and his family were outstanding hosts, there whenever we needed them for questions or tips on things to do. Check in included a very thorough tour around the property! They left us some delicious Portuguese cakes as a gift. We also met Carlos, who calls every few days (if you approver) to check on the animals, what a wonderful man, we all loved Carlos. The chickens, Quails and goats were amazing, and a wonderfully unique part of our stay. We even got to meet baby chicks. Picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden was really lovely, and a job the kids enjoyed. We also picked up fresh eggs every single day. The pool is a fantastic size, there were 5 of us, (3 teenagers 16, 15, 13) and plenty of space for inflatables as well. The pool table was a hit with all of us, a wonderful feature to have. The outdoor BBQ was lovely, and plenty of seating, including a bar with an Ice bucket in the middle. We hired a car, you need to if you stay here. So many places to visit. The roads are easy to navigate, and impeccably maintained! Supermarkets are only a few minutes away. The new addition of mosquitoe nets on the windows were great, very handy to be able to leave the windows open and keep the flys out. The fresh bread from the bread lady is wonderfully delicious. We really cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was, if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing break, you will have it here....we cannot wait to go back :)
