We're in quiet neighborhood three blocks from Downtown Ferndale. A quick walk & you're in the heart of the popular, artsy town. Restaurants, bars, comedy clubs, coffee shops, boutiques, and art galleries all within 1/2 mile.
We are located close to 9 Mile and Woodward, making it an easy drive to a bunch of other great areas- Detroit Zoo, Royal Oak, Downtown Detroit, Wayne State, and Berkley.

Our house is perfect for families, business travelers, social outings, or anyone else who appreciates an ultra clean and cozy space to stay.

Details about the space:
Our charming home is a well-appointed one-story ranch, completely remodeled this year. Fully fenced in yard with mature trees and perennial garden makes the patio an enjoyable spot to get some fresh air. Our neighborhood is quiet and family friendly. Many people are out walking to town and enjoying life.

The house has 3 bedrooms (including a primary bedroom w/ ensuite) and 2 full bathrooms- full kitchen, comfortable living room w/ smart TV, dining room and laundry area. We also have a small herb garden that you're welcome to pick from.
*Kid friendly: Pack N' Play, High Chair, Toys & Books, Tamper Resistant Electrical Outlets, Sound Machine, and more for the precious younger members of the family.

Please note we do have an exterior Arlo camera at the front door that is recording for security purposes only. We respect our guests' privacy.

There is a detached garage that guests will not have access to.

The “Funky Fern” was exactly as described, cute and very clean. It had a great location close to restaurants, grocery stores, expressways and a very cute downtown area. Hosts were responsive and very helpful and they had it stocked with the most essentials and amenities of any place I have ever stayed! Definitely would rent again!

We (2 kids, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents) had a lovely stay at this home in Ferndale. We were a bit concerned about the proximity to the railroad but ultimately it was a very quiet location. Everything was very clean, and the hosts have many thoughtful items available, including shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, and a variety of fun coffee fixings. There were also children's items and games. Walkable to downtown Ferndale and drivable to a lot of great Detroit attractions. The two full baths were great to have. Communication with the host was helpful and check-in was easy. Highly recommended. Also highly recommend a visit to the nearby apple fritter donut shop - so delicious!

Stayed with 4 adults. Very clean and comfortable. The location and proximity to everything was perfect for our trip. Very reasonable house rules. Easy check in and check out. We dined out for all of our meals and did not end up using the kitchen, so cannot comment on that amenity, but it looked good. My only critique for the property is that one of the two bathrooms, which is attached to a bedroom, has a sliding barn door with large gaps that are a bit awkward for privacy. Can't fault the owners on this one, as the construction of that space makes it very difficult to put any kind of door there. Thankfully, the bedroom door can be closed for added privacy, but can be a little awkward if you're sharing the space.

Our group was 2-65+ year old adult couples. Because of the small size of the house,I would call it a cottage. It was very cozy and well appointed with newer appliances and updated kitchen and bathrooms. The beds and furniture were clean and comfortable. The sitting ara in the back yard was appreciated. The location was excellent for easy access to freeways and major roads. The television was had a fully loaded app package. Everything we needed was on hand or easy to aquire. I highly recommend this property for a cozy stay.

My husband, three kids, and I truly enjoyed our stay at this cozy spot away from home. It was comfortable, convenient, and trendy. The amenities were a huge plus! Kids enjoyed the games and we enjoyed the books. The hosts were communicative, there were ample supplies in the kitchen and bathroom, and it was super quiet and just pleasant overall. My husband and I, plus another couple, were in town for a weekend tournament at the Detroit Curling Club, which is conveniently about 5 minutes away. In my search for a place to stay I noticed that this one has 2 full bathrooms, which is ideal for 2 couples. Pretty much everywhere is else only 1 or 1.5. The whole house is decorated so nicely, and it is very comfortable from the moment you walk in. There are 3 bedrooms, with the primary and a second in the front, and a third bedroom in the back of the house along with the second full bath. It's a great setup for 2 couples, since it really feels like everyone has their own space. We brought food to cook in the morning, and were surprised by how much is available in the kitchen! Plates, dishes, silverware of course, but also pots, pans, oven mits, utensils, cleaning products... There's even a super cute coffee station set up! There must have been families that have stayed here as well. We noticed some child friendly silverware, a few toys, some diapers... It's really nice that the hosts accommodate for families too. Overall we found the house very comfortable, very clean, and very easy. It's so close to downtown Ferndale, the highway, and the curling club. The check-in and check-out process was also super easy! I absolutely recommend staying here, and would 100% book it again! Thanks so much, Christi, for providing such a wonderful space!

We knew we were in for a special home-away-from-home as soon as we pulled into the driveway. The house was immaculate and decorated with both style and comfort in mind. Clearly the hosts know how to make guests feel welcome and pampered. And what a delight for our 6 and 3 year olds to have fun books, games, and other toddler-appropriate toys to enjoy! They were having such a good time in the house that we had to work to get them out the door for Legoland Discovery Center and the Michigan Science Center (both of which were so easy to reach from this wonderful Ferndale location). We hope this property is available again when our next visit is scheduled. Thank you to the hosts!

This home is clean and cozy and has everything you need. There is a cute coffee bar waiting for guests, bottled water in the fridge, and we felt immediately at home. The neighborhood is quiet. Even though it is close to railroad tracks we never heard the noise and we felt safe in this neighborhood. The owners really have thought of everything and there was plenty of space for our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers).

Christi's home was absolutely perfect! It had everything we needed for 3 couples and a baby and although it is a smaller home it doesn't feel like it at all. Having the high chair and toys made traveling with a little one so easy. Excellent location in a very quiet neighborhood but in walking distance to really cute restaurants. The house is very clean, newly renovated. Christi has thought of everything you might need. We loved our stay!
